I've been searching for "Kait's Kookbook: One Pot Meals" everywhere but I can't find it. Why can't I find it? Because Kait hasn't written it yet! Money making opportunity people! I would buy it in a heartbeat. Get to work!

I love your enthusiasm for cooking, and Joe was on his cell phone like a teenager. I was happy to see him get up, walk the dog and pick up the poop. He should have been helping you and supporting you.

Thanks Kait I appreciate your explanation of how to do this. I had a pork hock and didn't know what to do with it and didn't want to waste it so I went online and yours was the first recipe that was simple and was promoted with such verve and excitement.

I actually do cook up pork i included the ginger and 5 spice mix , it turns the dish even more intense with flavors. When i put in my crockpot i include portobello mushrooms and carrots but a few times parsnips. I was out of carrots but there both hearty vegetables. Worked wonderful especially when the broth was poured-over rice… Fabulous !!!! Thanks for sharing will be watching👍👍🐻

Thanks God I'm watching this right after dinner, the suffering would be unbearable …
BTW could you share what rice you use and how you cook it? And also something on the soy sauce, I have a suspicion it wouldn't be quite right with Kikkoman.

Yeah … I have to agree with other commenters … Joe needs a time out … or many some of that Chinese liquor to "chill out" a bit. LOL 🙂

As for pork hocks … I must have lead a very sheltered life because I don't recall ever having them before. I know that my mother would never had made them … BUT … I do love pork and the hock looked so good I think I could actually smell it. 🙂

Good recipe. I love those pork hocks. My son started cooking with coconut oil. I cook it the same less wine and cinnamon. I add some vinegar. then crockpot. definitely a good dish. or another variation we served with blanched baby bakchoy vegetables

The second kait is much more authentic and better looking!
I like how the alcohol tablespoon is 10x more than the soy tablespoon.

If you buy an Instant Pot pressure cooker, you can brown the meat before you do the final cooking. We made homemade chicken and dumplings with our cooker and had to brown the chicken thighs. Best dish ever.

I LOVE how healthy your cooking is!!! Beautiful. Hey Joe, I heard of a family that has an inside joke that whenever someone is feeling down someone says the word pork and they have to laugh. I don't know if it works to cheer everyone up, but pork pork pork 😀

😭😭 at Joe at the end…too funny! OMG KAIT, that pork BEASTIE was the most beautiful thing EVER! And the way you prepped it & cooked was just PEEFECT! My Uncle in Puerto Rico, would sometimes take a whole pig, fill the carcass with Spanish chillies, native herbs & spices. He'd then dig a hole in the backyard, place the pig inside of it, and slowly cook that bad boy for 6hrs with banana leaves on top of it! That hock you made, was absolutely HEAVEN ON EARTH! No lie, I could almost smell it & taste it right through my screen! A simply WONDERFUL display of Asian culinary skills! If you ever stop doing these cooking shows, Im gonna start taking MASSIVE AMOUNTS of anti-depressants (and in true Trumpian style, Im gonna make you & Joe PAY FOR THEM 😂! This is now officially my FAVE cooking show by you-and Joe at the end, was a brilliant close to the video…super kudos & congrats, on the making of this "episode"! 👏🏻👌👍🍻
