It’s time for the latest charcoal / black recipe and despite considering using squid ink, the potent smell put me off and I luckily had some activated charcoal …

HEY!!! I don't know if he's said this in the video (my YT is messing up and giving me no audio) BUT!!!

IF YOU'RE ON ANY KIND OF MEDICATION, AVOID ACTIVATED CHARCOAL FOODS LIKE THE PLAGUE, IT NEGATES/DILUTES MOST IF NOT ALL INGESTED MEDICATIONS!!! There's a reason it's used as an emergency first aid for poison ingestion! Depending on how slow-absorbing your medication is, the window of time in between doses where it would hypothetically be safe to consume activated charcoal can be vanishingly small. PLEASE be responsible with your health! If you want funky looking foods, black food dye is a much safer option.

what is it with the cone thing lol? traffic cones probably aren't foodsafe, and doesn't the chocolate/sugar stick to the paper?
have you never seen how a croquembouche is built, or is that method just for fun?

Celery is on there because itโ€™s one of the 14 common allergens, probably through the processing it may come into contact with items containing celery or celery seed.

I was one of the guys who suggested the inc. I think the Taste wonโ€™t be that strong as the smell is. Especially bc you just use very little amounts of it. I know when the whole black food trend arrived, that most people used Squid inc and no one did ever tasted it afterwards, so I would give it a try, maybe one more trilogy? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I know nothing about making one of these… but can someone tell me why he wouldn't just turn it upside down, too to the floor when moving it? Seemingly you could even put it in a vase or something upside down to let it set? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Barry, Barry, Barry, why do you keep building them inside the cone? They go on the *outside*! Or like someone else commented, you can build them as a free-standing pointed tower.

Before the eggs went into the bowl, that stuff looked like Barry asked road workers for some leftovers. After whisking the eggs in it reminded me more of some silicone sealer for bathrooms or sprayable isolation foam

Barry have you every tried charcoal cheese? We've managed to get it from county fairs etc… I mean, perhaps you'd want to melt it yourself as I know you don't really like it otherwise.

From one of your Patreon sponsors "Please stop making stuff with activated charcoal". It does nothing for flavor. Why don't you make regular chocolate pate choux instead? it would at least taste like something.

Companies like to cover their backs as during production and transit products often get contaminated. It's for legal protection to prevent being sued by someone who has an allergic reaction. A company can just say we warned you

The mouth feel of choux pastry always makes me retch, for some reason. And chocolate eclairs always look so nice, too!
Cuttlefish are another type of Cephalopod. Like squid, but not. And a lot less bolshy, too. And budgies like their shells to strop their beaks up with.
Use the ink to make fresh pasta with. It looks spectacular.
