Which instant ramen would you have chosen for Birria π
Birria is only ever made with goat meat, don't believe what they tell you, that's more close to barbacoa or we'll beef stew like you mentioned. Also it's a whole process that makes it authentic birria which includes making an oven out of adobe bricks.
Birria is originally a soup. Itβs become a taco in the past 15 years
Birria ramen, I like to make with left over birria. Adding the consomme too so it's not dry and still top it with onion cilantro and cheese.

They usually serve it in a Cup Noodle (Maruchan) so the shift towards Asian noodles is an expansion.

Birria ramen is soooo good!
Birria is associated with the state of Jalisco and has an interesting history. Goats aren't native to Mexico but when the conquistadors brought them over they lost control of the population of the herds. They didn't consider goats a good source of meat due to how tough and gamey it is and considered it birria: worthless. The native's traditional clay pot cooking and marinades proved the Spaniards wrong but the name birria stuck. Spain wound up adopting some of the Mexican cooking traditions which are now considered a classic part of both Spanish home cooking and tapas cultures.
Anyway I'm a shin ramyun slut through and through but I am curious as to how birria would bare with udon. Maybe I'll test that when the price of beef goes down.

Lmao I just had this today. Iβm Mexican and Iβve eaten birria A LOT but today was my first time trying birriaramen. I also thought it was way better than I expected.
In Cali the Bay Area you can walk in to βliquor stores, gas stations, corner storesβ and buy Ramon cups add all kinds of toppings in store. Meats. Cheese. Sausage. Onion. Egg.
what i do is get birra tacos, and a side of the consome for dipping, next day reheat the consome and use it as the broth for the samyang noodles (i like the texture of the noodles iβll use the sauce on something else)
Honestly it looks like when I put jerky into ramen while it's still boiling. It rehydrates the jerky and absorbs the ramen flavors and it tastes amazing! Great combo

I thought beef stew was a fart to the face
So one time I had a leftover 1/4 of a burrito, not enough for a meal and I didn't have much at home. So I made instant ramen and threw the burrito in there. Turned out surprisingly good, especially when the tortilla and the rice absorbed the broth.
