Chetna I love your recipes and have all your books except the new one. I do wish you would release a book with recipes for cooking for one or two, you force me to do math every time I make one of your recipes for the first time! 😂😉 Thanks
Looking forward to tryingb this one, never used more than one onion or two tomatoes in a family recipe before, seems a lot but when it cooks down into that paste with spices it looks so authentic and interesting, certainly a taste experience not to be missed. Thankyou Chetna
Hi Chetna, did you remove the cloves, cinnamon stick etc after cooking the onion paste?
You have no idea about cooking no body adds such bigger pieces of ginger, it’s disgusting to bite it while eating.
OMGoodness!!!! I want to make this!!! 😃😋🙏💖💐
Could you use black chick peas?
you have been doing such an amazing service for my sanity and tastebuds during these trying times, chetna. thank you!
Have you ever seen/tried a UK style pressure cooker – like the classic Prestige Hi Dome?
If nothing else, it's 6Litre capacity, which would hold MORE YUMMY FOOD!
They're not expensive, even at full retail; (mine was a car boot steal at a fiver!)
https://www.prestige.co.uk/6litre-57059-aluminium-high-dome-pressure-cooker.html
(and could you explain "counting whistles" – the Prestige just sits there gently hissing…)
I really cannot wait to try to make this curry a lot more complex than a lot of the recipes you post but it looks really interesting and worth the time and effort to make. Just one question have just invested in a pressure cooker as it does seem to be used a lot in Indian cookery however it doesn’t whistle how much time per whistle should I cook it for ? Also thank you for taking the time to make and post so many videos during this lockdown really look forward to watching them
Great Job. Can't wait for more deliciousness! i want to be youtube friends
Can you please show us how to make poori with all purpose flour. I have trouble finding a good recipe
Hey chetna! How can I cook chickpeas without a pressure cooker?
Can you use fresh chick peas straight from the chick pea plant?
Probably one of the most dangerous uses of a pressure cooker I've seen. Don't ever try to load up a western style pressure cooker like this, … unless you want a new kitchen.
Delightful!
Amazing, amazing dish!! Thank you for the plant-based recipe 🌿🌱
I wonder what is the difference between different cuts of ginger? Is there a specific reason why the ginger is julienne cut as opposed to minced, or grated, or a paste?
How are you getting decent tomatoes in April?!
I can smell the chole thru the screen 😍 Thank you for sharing!! definitely will have it with chapati tonight!! May God bless you and your family always!! Stay safe
Cool! Never seen anyone use tea to cook chickpeas. Looks fantastic!
I shall try this! How long did you pressure cook? How long is 8 whistles? My Turkish p-cooker does not have a whistle.
Great instructions!!! Looks great, thanks for sharing 🙏
Any ideas on how long 8 whistles would be in an instant pot?
That looks yummy. 👍
you have such a lovely disposition. I enjoy watching and learning from you.
Another great video. Have you ever considered a what I eat in a day video ? 🙂
I love your recipes, your star presence, and now even your home/design style. I just recently got into the world of YouTube plant aficionados. When you showed your dining room with the beautiful plant displays I immediately craved a plant video from you. Might I suggest a simple beverage recipe (similar to you chai and lemongrass ginger videos) and then you walk around your space with the drink showing your wonderful plants?
This Chole looks just amaizing! Thank you!!
This is such a wonderful recipe Chetna 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you so much 🙏🏼 If I could ever give you one piece of advice it would be to invest in an Instant Pot. It’s the best and most versatile piece of equipment I have ever bought and they’re really well priced on Amazon. Thank you again 🙏🏼
What kind of tee we can use?
It looks delectable.
Any tips on how to remove chickpea skins other than one by one? I really, really do not like them, especially when they are loose are half way off. So I always have to sit down in front of the tv while I remove them individually. There has to be an easier way.
Hi Chetna a lovely recipe as my daughter is vegatarian, no fish or eggs. So it's Quorn and cheese!!
Also watched your chocolate cake in a mug. A great idea.
Just a question Chetna. When people say a curry it's just a blend of different spices so wondering is masala the same. Thanking you in advance. Happy Easter to you all. Xx
That pressure cooker has seen better days! And punjabi chole receipe is definitely different to what you have shown. But there is more than one way to cook North Indian Chole
One of my favorite dishes. Your version looks outstanding!
One of my kids and my favourite side dish for Rotis. We just love it. Thank you so much Chetna👍🤗It's looking yum😋😋👌

Where do you find your black cardamom normally, Chetna? From Asian supermarket? I haven't looked properly for it yet, and I don't know of a spice shop nearby. With lockdown in place it's going to be a while until I can get to Cardiff again…
I’m curious what the baking soda does for the recipe?
