I boil my eggs and then put them in ice with a small amount of water. Leave them alone and let them sit in the ice water until they are cooled. Maybe 10-15 mins. When the eggs are good and cold just roll them on the counter and they will peel great. I see it on the cooking network and my eggs come out perfect.
Ice cold water and time is all it takes.

Hi Amy, love your videos!!!!! I understand your frustration with the hard boiled eggs. I bought an egg cooker and my eggs turn out perfectly every time! I will never go back to boiling on the stove.

Amy, like you I tried so many ways to cook hard boiled eggs. What works for me is to place eggs in COLD water, bring to a boil unvovered then turn off burner, cover and let sit for 12 mins. Perfect eggs everytime. For peeling, I make sure I put them in an ice bath and crack the big end of the egg cool completely. Peel under running water. You HAVE to make sure you get the water under the membrane and they will peel easy. Hope this helps

I have seen a trick where you hit the bigger end of the egg with a spoon till you hear a crack (hear it, shouldn't actually crack the egg) then boil as usual and they peel… I have only done it once or twice but it worked really well!

Amy don't fret over ugly eggs. When they are fresh they are just hard to peel. Instead of egg salad, make a deviled egg dip/spread. It's yummy and gives you an alternative to egg salad. Stay blessed and Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family.

I laughed out loud when you showed your hardboiled eggs. I hate peeling eggs. There is really no full proof way to boil them. It's just a gamble every time. However deviled eggs are great no matter how they look. Have a great week!
