Aww, the kids were having so much fun with the leaves. How sweet. I actually made a couple of pumpkin videos to join in but then ran out of time to edit them. Ahh, next year I'll join in.
That was a very heartfelt speech and tribute to your aunt. I bet she's a wonderful person. Your dessert looked fabulous. I would definitely agree that this is a wonderful alternative to a pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. Great job as always!!

I lucked out on a good sale at a store I usually don't go to anymore because the prices have become even more than I can offset with the rewards, sales & gas discounts. My son & I were in the city 40 min S of our little town for a doctor's appointment so we decided just to make a quick stop so we could use the restroom before hitting the road & to grab a few things for a quick dinner. This was a Safeway & the ones close to where I live have slightly lower prices based on the area's economy but less of the red clearance stickers (this is so they can donate more food so I need to praise them for that) so at this store I was between states of "ohmlord the prices are insane" then "ohmlord there's so many more red stickers". Like everywhere else in the country butter has become outlandishly expensive & I know farmers were hit really hard this year so I get it but all of a sudden my eyes spy red stickers on BUTTER. Even the store brand are pushing up to close to $5 a lb but this was organic butter that happened to be on sale that wk for $7 a lb usually close to $8 so they were $3.50 a lb, you better believe I grabbed 3 lbs of it.

In my area Philadelphia cream cheese was very close in price to the store brand like less than $0.50 more maybe & I decided branding was better in that one scenario because it didn't go bad as quickly & the store brand had a very strong not so pleasant aftertaste. Luckily I actually love the Walmart brand whipped cream cheese so now that prices of everything have soared I switched to that pretty much permanently & it's so much easier to work with right out of the fridge & a little lighter on the calories as well, I mean of course there's less calories it's got air whipped in it

Happy anniversary and may God bless you and your hubby! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing you jump in the leaves with your kids and upending that piece of luscious gooey pumpkin cake, which looked as yummy upside down as it did right side up. Lol. You and your kids are a joy to watch, and I love your channel.

I am super excited your daughter is out with her dad getting the elk. My daughter, now 18, is an amazing hunter. Always a full freezer with her around. Thank you for sharing this recipe πŸ’›πŸ’›
