Hey MommyTang! Silent viewer here since 2016. I missed you for a few years while you were gone but I’m so happy to see your cute little family again and specially Hanki. He seems like such a genuinely good person. Back in 2015 I experienced some depression and you helped me get through it with your silly cooking and mukbang videos. I also learned so much about Korean food. I still have to go to a Korean restaurant! Now in 2022 in married and have a cute 6 month baby. Postpartum was really hard and you helped me once again! Please never stop making videos. Love you MommyTang!

the haw flakes you guys saw is usually eaten after drinking a bowl of Chinese herbal tea. Chinese herbal tea can be super bitter and a lot of kids & adults eat the haw flakes to get rid of the bitterness. I guess its almost like a chaser for alcohol haha a lot of Chinese kids grow up eating this. You can also eat it as a snack, it doesn't have to be eaten after drinking Chinese herbal tea.

I was learning about haw flakes recently! They’re made from hawthorn berry which is good for managing high cholesterol, high blood pressure, weight loss, and especially used for heart failure patients!

FYI: the wavy knife is often used to slice Japanese yokan/kanten (gelatin-like dessert.) Here in Hawaii, we also use it to slice fishcake (kamaboko) for a decorative look. (the half-moon fishcake that comes on a wooden base) Side note … old-time Japanese locals here don't slice their gobo (burdock), but "whittle" it with a sharp knife into 2" pieces. A lot of prep but esthetically pleasing. Thank you for sharing!
