    I have some really old, old beans (years) that I’m kind of hesitant to cook. I mostly use canned beans.
    Re: IP vs stove top cooking if the time is the same, it depends on how attentive I want to be. I'm generally less likely to get burnt bits in the bottom of the pan using the IP if I'm busy doing something else. I use the microwave a lot.
