I think that sacking Vieira was a mistake, but now they've done it who are they going to bring in who can turn things around? Hodgson is probably the best decision they could have made.

I have one thing to say about lopetegui.

Yes. He coached the spanish national team

    Yes. He coached Real Madrid.

BUT: the spanish U21 team was the ONLY time he got decent results.

With Porto he was a pure unabashed disaster.

    With spain he got nothing.

With real madrid if he got anything good it was BECAUSE IT WAS REAL MADRID, not because it was him.

And then sevilla got into relegation spots thanks to him.

The moment I saw he was going to wolves I knew it was going to shit, as every time he coached anything did.

You were thinking him much higher than he ever deserved because he got a job he never deserved. Don't think of him as a former real madrid coach. Think of him as the coach who went into a champions league match with porto with no midfielders, and one day decided to play benfica with no attackers. And then somehow went on to bottle it with spain so they would give him a job at real madrid before gifting sevilla the relegation spot

To be fair, Arsenal are quite similar to Napoli.
It is just steady investments the past few years bearing fruit.
Napoli has a much stronger squad though. Their backup almost as good as the first 11

Irish Guy demonstrating his football knowledge by saying he rates Brendan Rodgers.

Look at the players Rodgers has signed and where his teams have finished. He’s enjoyed early success with the help of the previous manager’s foundation, but once he gets his stamp on a team, its squad becomes bang average, bloated and devoid of leaders. The man belongs neither near a trophy nor in the top half of a strong league.

Don't underrate Darren Ferguson, he's gotten 4 promotions while at Posh and a promotion at Doncaster Rovers I believe. Only reason why he hasn't gone any higher is that he struggles at Championship level. But to get that many promotions is quite incredible, no matter the level.
