Yeah i had six kids you think i didnt bathe them one at a time? I wasnt rich i couldnt afford 8 baths a day come on now. My older ones could take a shower but anyone under 10 took a bath with 2 other kids even showers on hot days sheesh..i would put all my baby babies in the tub i would close the shower door slide it closed then id say ready set GO! AND WE WOULD KICK OUR LEGS AND SPLASH UNTIL EXHAUSTED CRACKING UP LAUGHING AND SO SO MUCH FUN…then with baby shampoo id make them mowhawks and shampoo horns what a fun and happy time bath time! At the end i would take my husbands shaving cream and i would make elephants squirt out a blob of shaving cream on top of bath water then on top of that another round blob the a short quick curved stream for the trunk then one on either side small poofs for ears…i made little people with shaving cream on the side of the tub like they were trying to get out of tub and say OKAY WISHY WASHY KIDS ARE GETTING OUT OF TUB TIME TO GET OUT ARE OUR FINGERS LIKE RAISINS? OKAY TIME TO GET OUT HANG ON MOMMY AND LIL ONEFIRST STAY COZY ILL GET U NEXT …i would get baby wrapped up like a burrito and set them down on the pile of dirty clothes wrapped up id put my hair up and wrap mysdlf then one by one the kids in the tub last one had to pull the plug…so fun.but splash time was mandatory…this killed 2 birds with one stome…it got rid of the last wiggles left in the kids and they wouldnt run off naked in different directions and they listened to me better because they knew i wasnt trying to take their fun away.

You didn't put any flavor extract? I really don't like Mexican arroz con leche because to me it just taste like milk with cinnamon and sugar :/ Not too flavorful. I watched several videos and all of them only use sugar and cinnamon πŸ˜›

I just made your recipe. Delicioso! Just like my Mom used to make it. She passed away 3 years ago and I didn't have her recipe. But this is a great match to hers. Thank you! ❀️

    Stupid question
But would I be able to use the left over rice and maybe the cinnamon stick(s) from after making horchata, for the arroz con leche recipe?
I'm just wondering because I feel like I am wasting the ingredients after making horchata.

I made extra powdered sugar and I just thought about using it in my arroz. Keeping the cinnamon pieces reminds me of sitting at the table with my mom on a Wednesday night before bed, sucking the rice milk off of the cinnamonstick before putting on a napkin πŸ˜‚ you have the same energy as my sisters and I πŸ’˜

My mom used to make it they way you said not to lol . She would add a little bit of water in the bottom with the cinnamon, and would add milk as the rice cooked . Always came out delicious ., can’t wait to try your version though..
