Made the 24 'muffin like' steel-cut oats.
    Used 8.5 cups of water
    a little over 2 cups of steel-cuts.
Used the Cosori 6qt. pressure cooker:
Spray inside of liner with olive oil
Add the ingredients, forgot about the salt, but that can be done after when microwaving the frozen oat muffins. Put lid on set the "Pressure Release Valve" to the “Sealed” position.
    Press the "Steam Potatoes" button.
Press the "Cook Time" button then use the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons to adjust the time 16 minutes.
    Press "Start"
The pressure cooker will beep three times to alert you when cooking has finished, and it will automatically set itself to the Keep Warm mode. Wait 12 minutes; unplug the pressure cooker to turn it off. Use oven mitts or pot
holders to do a Quick Release of Pressure by switching the “Pressure Release Valve” from “Sealed” to “Release.”
Set the lid aside and using a big spoon, stir the contents and mix well. It will at first appear to be watery, but after stirring it will be absorbed.
Spray the two 12 muffin pans with olive oil.
Using a large spoon, dip out the steel-cut oats into each cavity of the muffin pans. Fill all the way up.
Let rest for 20 minutes, then place muffin pan in the freezer. Freeze for 5 hours. Take out the pans from the freezer and let them rest on counter top for 5 minutes or run hot water over the back side of the pan. Do this in a clean sink. The oat-muffins will be easily removed.
Place into a Ziploc bag, back into freezer until ready to eat.
    To eat:
Place two oat-muffins in a glass bowl, add about 1/2 water, and place in microwave for 2 minutes and 15 seconds. I stop mine after 1 minute and 45 seconds to rearrange the muffins and then finish using the remaining time. I also placed a small plate on top of the bowl to help in cooking the oats, doesn't dry out or cook the exposed oats that way.
Now add toppings, cinnamon, honey, bananas, blueberries, raisins & etc.

Jill – I've been rolling my own oat flakes from groats for about 30 years with a flaker. What do you consider the advantage of 'cutting' oat groats rather than rolling? I've actually done my own steel cutting in the Vitamix over a few decades but only notice a different texture.
