Today I share an Amy Ellis quilt, a Bonnie and Camille quilt, and a 30 year old quilt top – ALL finished on the longarm this week!
I have a double wedding ring made by my grandmother. It was her only quilt that she made and it has wavy blocks and borders. Do you think you could quilt it?
I think I will get it out and take a look at it.
As Lori Holt would say: "you are the Boss of your own quilt" so do what works for You! You are doing a beautiful job–I didn't realize how large those blocks are. THANK YOU again for the UFO Challenge. I just finished a UFO from 1976! Yes, you read that correctly-LOL! Sometimes you just need a little kick to get you going. LOVE your longarm choices. Happy Mother's Day
I really enjoy your channel Tammie. I like following your own quilting projects each week. Then, seeing and hearing how and why you chose certain long arm pantographs helps me learn. Keep up the great work.
Another excellent display of quilts. You are so enjoyable to watch. Happy Mother's Day!!!
I love your FT and seeing your progress on Calico Garden. I agree with you on the Lighthearted kit – if we have the book we should use fabrics we love and use the book we already have!
I am really enjoying your adventures in creating the Calico Garden quilt. Love the rose and caramel colours on the ‘raining dogs and cats’ quilt. This winter I used the very same minke fabric on a quilt (that my husband has adopted – lol). I was thrilled with how well defined the quilting stitches show up on the minke. What batting would you recommend when using minke?
Wow, your work is nice.
Tammie I look forward to watching your videos every week. Your style is so calm and relaxed which is a bit like me as people always tell me that I am a calm person. Loved your blocks and explanations on organizing stuff and of course enjoyed seeing your longarm quilt projects this week.
Tammie, thanks for sharing the updates on your personal projects. I know they are time consuming, a lot of work, but satisfying once completed.
You did a beautiful job on my grand baby's quilt. I was so happy to find the perfect dog fabric to match the pattern I wanted to use, and completed it in two weeks. The backing, oh my goodness; I look forward to finishing it.
Great organization for Calico sew along. Your blocks are beautiful! It's nice to see all the details in the individual blocks. Your stars being thinner just makes them look farther back. Thanks for info on future Shine On Sampler Sew Along!
I prefer not to use the Lori Holt method of appliqué, which Eleanor Burns showed years ago. I like the method where you iron a fusible wash away stabilizer that is ironed to the back of your shape, like Floriani. You then cut out the shale leaving approx 1/4” all around. Next you turn and glue the edges down. I use a Sew Line glue stick. You have a perfectly turned edge and it’s very easy to accomplish. If you wash your quilt, about 80% of the stabilizer washes away. Just another method of doing appliqué. I love seeing all the quilts you show and your long arm quilting!
The more I see your Lori Holt quilt the more I love it! Can't wait to see it completed. My vote this week is for Cheryl's quilt. Love the pantograph you used. Loved the mod look when I was a teen in the '60's! .😊
Your machine quilting is so beautiful. It shows that you take pride in your work. Your videos are so enjoyable.
I’ve only just found your channel this week Tammie and am thoroughly enjoying these videos. Thanks for sharing your projects and some of your clients beautiful work!
Love your organization and suggestions on the Lori Holt quilt. It could be overwhelming, but your process simplifies it so well. Love seeing your customer quilts. You, always, pick the perfect pantograph patterns for the quilts. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing your talents. ❤
I love love love the 60’s mod butterfly pantograph. So cute. Thanks for sharing Miss Tammie. Have a terrific weekend. Spring has finally sprung in the PNW. 70’s and 80’s all next week. Wahoo.
Beautiful quilt blocks thank you for sharing 😊
