I am making this RIGHT NOW!!

Edit: it's okay. The texture is wonderful, but there is very little, if any, orange flavor. My oranges were very flavorful. I was looking for a recipe to rival the local bakery's orange "bread", but this doesn't come close. (They do use orange extract and maybe that's the secret.)

Hi, I tried this cake, using a scale and making sure all ingredients are in the correct measurement. I am not a cake-making person, so I don't know where I am going wrong. The only part that I think that I am having trouble with is combining the mixture with the flour. I know you said just fold in until the flour is incorporated, but I see as if the flour is forming clumps and I keep mixing to get them out so the mixture is smooth, I don't know if this is where I am going wrong my cake comes out dense not very spongy, am I over mixing? I would appreciate any help, as I love this cake.
