Update on house please. Also the bay leaf should be removed from the soup when finished cooking. Do not eat!! Just sayin'. All the soups look delish. Oh and one other thing, you should really wash the onion as the dirt etc. on outside goes right thru it when you cut it. ACK!!

Literally watching her grating carrots trying to figure out why. I learned to just wash them from her. I love her reaction when she noticed! I feel like we’ve all done something like this. It makes my heart happy.

Kim I Don't know if barley is off the menu because of allergies, but I use pearl barley in soups I make in the slowcooker often in place of pasta. That might be an option for you to use to break from potatoes all the time now. Hope this helps =) Karen

Kim you need to make my dad’s corn chowder!! That’s how I kick off every fall season. With the biggest dang stock pot I have full and then I literally just eat it for days!!! It tastes even better when it’s reheated lol I’ll have to share the recipe with you. Thankfully he shared it with me before he passed it was my absolute favorite thing to eat growing up. I always looked forward to it ❤️ also that dang cauliflower soup looked so good!! My kids have finally gotten behind cauliflower so I think this is a big yes for us!

I made red beans & rice once and the beans never got tender. Later, I learned on a cooking show that you're not supposed to add salt UNTIL the beans are cooked, because the salt keeps the shell intact & they can't get tender (or something like that). I grew up in the north; we only had beans in chili or baked beans & those were canned. That's my excuse lol
Love you Kim, I hope you got your house!! ❤

My mom "makes" Minestrone every Sunday, for the week, with either chicken broth or beef broth and it's simple. Aldi sells 1KG bags of frozen veggies for Minestrone soup, all cut up for you, easy peasy, and it's a really good soup! No need to even put a lot of spices in, the vegetables are that good. You do still have to cut up an onion and get that going before throwing the bags in. My mom makes 4/5L of soup every weekend with 1 and a half bags of the frozen veggies.

Wow! Great video!! Oh Kim, they have lactose free butter, sour cream, milk but I'm not sure what to say about all that sugar. We are gluten and lactose free so I scribbled down all your soup recipes!! Brightest Blessings

Hot tip: save the bacon rendering in a jar in your frig. Use those Costco hard boiled eggs to make deviled eggs. Throw some toast in, slather it with bacon renderings, throw deviled eggs on and it is the best breakfast or lunch or dinner or snack Sammy ever!
