What is off-putting to me is the dour, gloomy setting of Chopped. TV entertainment requires bright, inviting colors. This colorlessness seems to be the general shortcoming of the Food Network chef competition shows with the exception of Guy Fieri's programs.

The show's video editors remind me of a 5 year old getting ahold of scissors and giving themselves a haircut. It's awkward at best, and at worst it misrepresents contestants using blatantly misleading juxtapositions of clips.

Sorry but as far as I'm concerned Alex Guarnaschelli is not a quality chef. She won the Iron Chef position by pity only, it was so obvious. I think it was her third try at it. (My opinion only)

This show may show creative chefs but it is a truly horrible idea. Food is not properly cooked a lot of times. Chefs are rushed making mistakes. Food isn't as good as it could be if they had proper time to cook the food. This program has made great chefs look bad because of the chaos and mistakes made.
