Jelly007, yours looks like a victory. Mine came out rather crispy on top before I added the topping. I’m pretty sure it’s because I used the wrong rack so it was setting up too high. Next time I will know better. I’ve got 11 more cans of Hunt’s Meatloaf Starter left— I had to buy a case from Amazon since Hunt’s doesn’t sell it in my area of Missouri in the grocery store. Hopefully I’ll learn from my mistakes. Thank you for the video recipes!! I used the Ninja Foodi 8 qt.

I saw a video with a lady putting the meat mixture right in the air fryer in the Ninja Foodie. She pressure cooked it first then air fried it second. Do you have a video of cooking meatloaf that way?

I did this last night in my ninja foodie with my instant pot loaf pan. I just did the 2 pound recipe and it came out great. My sister really loved it. I couldn’t get the meatloaf starter except on Amazon and they want you to buy a whole case so what I did is I just use ketchup and it worked pretty good.

I knew when you said you were cooking small pans for an hour, it was waaaayyyyy to long. You can bake a large meatloaf in the oven and it’ll be done in an hour. Dry meat floating in grease.

I made mine in the fat daddieo loaf pan, cooked it for 40 minutes on 350 in my instant pot duo crisp. It burnt and tasted horrible ☹ I don't know what went wrong

the only people who should be careful about setting the top on the countertop are those with formica and similar materials that are heat sensitive, you can do whatever you want with that stone

Hi (: new subscriber here! Thanks for sharing! I just ordered one, as a Christmas present to myself! Haha…I got a nice deal, then a discount, and had a gift card on top of that, so I saved about $50 on the usual price. I'm really excited to try all different features

Hey john, did you pour off the fat and oil from the ground beef? If you did. what time in the cooking process did you remove grease and fat? Are did you let stay in the pan? Thank Ernest

I'm kind of a purist when it comes to my meatloaf, but I do use Italian bread crumbs and a few eggs and just a tad of milk for a binder. also every time I cook a meatloaf it is stuffed with cheese, if you ever make it that way you will never want to make it any other way!

Is the meatloaf better cooked with the instant pot feature or the crisper feature? I would want to put the potatoes under the rack and cook them at the same time. Looks good and I have never heard of the Hunts sauce so that's new to me. Thank you

There is a grip that holds metal cooking tins. I think it's something you can get at the hardware store. It a long handed spring clip with horizontal jaws. It was a nifty device for reaching in and clamping a solid edge to a cooking vessal. PS I ordered my IP today, you convinced the hubby that this is a useful cooker… yay!

Last time I used oats in a meatloaf it turned into a oat loaf 😂 My husband and I tasted it , looked at each other and laughed. The dog loved it for the next few nights. I follow recipes now 😂

I'm not sure how I feel about the soft cookware from instant-pot. Cooking in plastic in our house is frowned upon. However, putting a handled trivet underneath with aluminum foil extentions should make removing the pans ouch-free. (:

If you want to cook something low in the pot then I would use a silicone slang so they could rest on those sling down low and then I could pull it out easily. 🙂 okay I'm done talking now!

If you don't have any oats or bread crumbs a wonderful substitution is cream of wheat. It even works with store brand cream of wheat okay. It makes a very nice and Light Meatloaf just like it does for pancakes. When I was a girl my mother and I went to IHOP and they had cream of wheat pancakes I spent about a year working on the recipe and they are indeed delicious. Don't forget about cream of wheat or other hot cereals that you may have in the house when you want to make meatloaf and don't have any bread crumbs or oats. I'm not a great lover of putting oats in meatloaf anyway but I have. 🙂
