Lol you definitely have to learn how to make each of those items to your liking! The fried rice needs to be seasoned! And the shumai is better when you steam it first then air fry !

I’m from Toronto and Why u probably feel like that is cause down here we’re so multicultural so we have legit restaurants. From Chinese to Korean to Arabic lots of Indian Pakistani and lots of European there owned and ran by people who know how to make the dishes and don’t Americanize them

The Japanese fried rice with the tofu, seaweed, and edamame is my Trader Joe’s holy grail. You should definitely try that one if you get the chance.

I love orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken
Even good without the sauce. It's so surprisingly good. And I'm part chinese and am obsessed with Chinese since I was little.

I ate their pork shu mai for lunch almost everyday during my student teaching. It’s so easy to just microwave them and I would dip them in lots of soy sauce. They are super yummy!
