Another thing we have in common! B&B are my favorite! I do like kosher dill too but Bread and Butter is my all time favorite, and the only one I store. So good on a turkey sandwich. mmm mmm mmm
PS I even put cranberry sauce on it sometimes too! Weird huh? LOLOL

I can't believe it! I did the same thing tonight! I especially like leftovers from Thanksgiving, mmm mmmm good! We love the turkey sandwiches a day or two later the most though, and everyone makes them different. Gotta love leftovers!

I made a big pot of vegetable chowder from the leftovers. So warm and comforting, mashed potatoes and all of the veg we had plus some of the same FD veg mix you had. Fixed some cornbread and had a contented hubby.

    Those aren't "left-overs", it's BULK COOKING! lol

And what did/are you making with your carcass? Mine has been in the oven on low, with carrots, onions and celery since Thur. evening. The smell is to DIE for! I'll drain the old veggies from it tomorrow, add carrots, cabbage and something for protein (I'm tapped out on turkey. The rest of the meat is in the freezer for later.) Maybe some beans or maybe some noodles. Perhaps some of the left-over mashed potatoes and maybe celery. Add the gravy?

Turkey noodle soup tonight for us. With 2 boys I don't have enough to make it more than a few days. Tomorrow I will add white rice to the soup and cook it for hours. This is what my mom always called Chook. (don't worry the boys will have picked out all the noodles and eaten them by now.) The rice and any stray noodles will get really glutinous. Season with soy sauce and eat. Makes a great breakfast on a really cold winter day. FYI those were Hawaiian utensils not fingers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lovely ! It is hard for me to imagine all the food people throw out. I use everything I possibly can. My grandma taught me how to use and stretch things. I even save my butter wrappers and use them for greasing pans ! My grandma was a smart cookie !!! Thanks Deb
