Pressure cooked in savory Japanese seasonings, this Japanese Beef Tendon Stew (Gyusuji Nikomi) is incredibly flavorful and literally melts in your mouth.
I love tendon! I can’t wait to make this recipe! Roasting it instead of par boiling it really adds a nice flavor, just FYI for your Mister. I bet he’d like that. I cannot wait until I get an instant pot. Thanks for the recipe.
In costco (gunma) we can find beef topblade steak, beef chuck eye roast and eye of round nette. Which one is the softest one to cook a stew? Thank you always for your recipes.
Hi Nami! Why is the tendon cooked twice – first in water and then again in the sauce? Why not just in the sauce for the whole time? Thanks. Great video!

I loved this video!! Frankly one of the things I always liked about your videos is that they are different (yes that sounds cheesy), what I mean is that you bring your charachter on the screen, and all the things that you managed to do are connected to you as an individual. It feels nice (I feel less shi**y) to know that other people have fear and insecurities too, and you brought that on youtube making fun of it while showing us Japan in your own unique perspective through your experiences. (Also Natsuki and your bets helped too :') ). In April I will be a 留学生 in Japan , and these videos are part of what motiveted me to try to get the scholarship. Thank you, and keep going.
Itadakimaaaaas!
Hi Nami, love your videos as always. Could you do a video about making the Mizu Shingen Mochi? I love that simple but beautiful dessert and I want to make it for my family.
I have never tried beef tendon, it looks interesting, Thank you for the video it was great, and loved the Japanese word at the end. Thanks Nami looking forward to the next video.
I believe the radish taste really good!
Nice plating!
おいしいそう。i like this one so much but don’t know how to cook. So i have to go to restaurant. Thank you so much.
Very elegantly made easy recipe! XD
That looks delicious, Nami! Although, I would prefer a bigger bowl. (๑╹ڡ╹๑)
Hello Nami-san! Love your recipes!
Can I make "motsuni" the same way?
This is right up my alley as I love tendon. Easy to follow recipe. Cheers 🙂
NAMI!!!! Oh my… you read my mind! I just had this at the restaurant and was wondering what does it called and you cooked it! Will try it out this weekend. LOVE YOU! <3
I absolutely love your little Japanese lessons at the end of your videos. Those seem to be very useful everyday vocabulary, but they are usually not taught in typical Japanese courses. At least not in the ones I took. ありがとうございます!😊
HI Nami, I do not like beef tendon, but great job posting a recipe lots of your viewers want to see even when you dont care for the ingredient. Great video as usual ♥
That look so good!
Looks good Nami! Are you guys using a gimbal for the the shots of the finished food?
Please provide substitutes for konnyaku & burdock root! These are totally unobtainable in most of the US except for big "coastal elite" cities. I would absolute love to make this recipe!
I love beef stew and have cooked it several times (western style); can't wait to try this Japanese style beef stew. Looks delicious Nami san, thanks for sharing again!
I'm a lover of tendon… Sometimes I get it at Chinese places and it's not braised enough, but I'm sure this will fall apart since it's pressure cooked a couple times!
Perfect timing! I have been looking for a new stew recipe. I grew up in Scotland and my mother would make "hock stew" which was made with the heel of the cow and I loved that, maybe this is similar.
Dashi, sugar, sake, what else can this soup broth base be used on? Colder weather is nicer with warm soup recipes
wowwwwwwwwwwwwww looks delicious
Nice
Gracias por compartir otra deliciosa receta, saludos!!!!!
