We don’t have whole house air con anymore. We added on and it was too much space for the existing system. We open the windows at night and close when the temps start to rise (we have screens). Otherwise we retreat to our rooms that have window air cons.
I do love to hear the birds so I like the fresh air when possible.

My mom used to mix ketchup with Karo (corn) syrup for the meatloaf topping. Really good but 90% sugar. I use Allulose with some tomato sauce

Regarding the tankless water heater: it does run on electricity, so people who do not have whole home generators, might experience pipes bursting due to lack of electricity to run the heaters to keep the pipes warm. But I have a whole home generator, so I will always have hot water and I actually keep my attic heated during extreme freeze situations.
Regarding the water heater: because my initial water heater was located in the attic over the garage, they kept the same piping and installed the tankless water heater in the same location. I would have preferred they install it in the garage, not in the attic. But they would havehad to redirect a lot of pipes and that would’ve been extremely costly. And it was already expensive enough.
