Uber and Lyft are waging full-blown war to retain what riders pay versus what we get as a fair price for our work. This is gonna be …
Is it insane that you expose how corrupt these platforms are, squeezing riders to the MAX, and then to fix the corruption, some Drivers actually look to their riders who are ALREADY getting COOKED to further tip?! They get outraged at the crooked system and they take it out on their riders! Insane!
This is great news for Uber investors, but this is horrible news for Uber drivers 😢
A lot of drivers need to come off the platform that’s where the leverage is. Because a lot of markets have high idle times. Most non veterans will take that 17.00 cause ppl tryna keep the lights on. Tbh. We can’t blame the companies. Go private. Build with other drivers. Americans highway and rail system is so bad we can all eat. Lyft and Uber are great platforms but on 25 years they won’t be needed.
Feel sorry for people doing food delivery with their cars …
They are using migrants with scooters to bring down the price in big cities….
These are the bigger scammers world never seen
This what Uber sent today. Uber Comfort is an elevated economy ride option that connects riders with newer, spacious cars.
If you'd like to try out an Uber Comfort-eligible vehicle, Avis has rentals available near you starting from $285/week (excluding taxes and fees). All Avis rentals come with basic maintenance and vehicle insurance included.
Plus, an Uber ride credit of up to $40 will be automatically applied to your account to get to an eligible rental branch.?
To be eligible for Uber Comfort, you must have completed at least 100 trips and maintain a minimum rating of 4.85.
Ready to go?
Try a Comfort vehicle
New York Uber drivers did it to themselves. They're the ones that wanted to have a minimum wage. Would it be fair for Uber to be forced to allow every person in New York to be an Uber driver and every one of them be on at the exact same time? And everybody decides to work just whenever they want to work so at 2:00 p.m. on a Tuesday or Wednesday you have 5 million drivers when you obviously would not need that many. But Uber still has to pay a minimum rate. You can't say well Uber's a multi billion dollar company they should just take money from another market and give it to New York drivers. That's not fair for the rest of the drivers that should be earning more money also.
Of course they're doing it to gas cars more than they are EV cars. Uber stated goal is all electric by 2030 or something like that. Further incentivize drivers to switch to EV by saying if you want to work we're only doing ev now. And they paid EV cars more anyways. Is there a problem with that? Of course not. Uber wants to do a business model where it's all electric despite how stupid that model is they should do things that encourage people to drive EVs.
See Jeff this is where you got it right! They don’t think we talk to each other. Well, we’ve got the Internet combining with human nature. Ever start a rumored to see how fastit will travel… Welcome to the Internet.😂😂
I actually just screamed 🤦🏼♀️
Great video from formerly known as UberJeepAZ 🤣
It would have been good if he took the ride to see the breakdown. Now what if you stick around and only do Amazon rides. Now with the bs 70% you should be getting a nice adjustment.

☆☆☆ We Private Drivers Are The Solutions To STOP Massive Abuses ☆☆☆
I pay for my own commercial car insurance thru progressive. They need to require the drivers to have commercial insurance because I don’t wanna pay them for car insurance when I have it already. It isn’t that much money when you buy it yourself.
Formally known as Django, the D is silent 😂😂😂😂😅😊
That’s so criminal… (just like ht in USA ) 🇺🇸
I’m so glad I started listening to you over a year ago I’ve been doing this thing wrong the whole time thinking I’m driving for 12 hours and coming back barely making $200. I definitely felt like a slave in the plantation…😂 I quit for about 6 months and thought about getting back to it yesterday until I turned the app on and it started giving rides for a 20 mins at $8 and doesn’t include the time to get there..WTF? Naw…getting these cards printed and delivered overnight…PRIVATE RIDES ONLY!
Another TKO video, Jeff!! 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊 Freakin Jaw dropping on the exposure of price gouging the RIDERS! I hope every rider watching this shares it with 10 friends with this headline: CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW GOUGED WE'VE BEEN GETTING BY THESE APPS? WATCH THIS!! 😮😮😮😮😮
Medical is bullshit too
Video funny as heck at the end! #nike
I think all drivers should read IRS Publication 530. It can be overwhelming to read, but try to understand it.
These companies don't like transparency all while fleecing the riders and stiffing the drivers. How can they charge someone $100 a ride like that? That rider ain't gonna tip and more likely think the driver gets all that money, when its all BS. That ride would be a good convert for a cash ride. I would charge the rider $25-30 for that.
Closing drivers out of the app because you don't want to pay them… At that point the apps should just clarify to the drivers, your services are no longer needed we're going to be letting 20% of our IC's go so we're not overly saturated and can pay the drivers what the law is making us.
But instead, they're letting the drivers make a little money for the hour, and then shutting them down until the times up, and then letting them back on later once that time period is up so they don't make too much money.
These apps are definitely clamping down and showing how low they are willing to go.
I think I figured it out. But I'm tired right now from arguing with the other app's support. I don't get paid to argue, they do, and I think they laugh at us knowing this.
Lyft has that option (now) that drivers can turn on & off that says, "Ride Switch." If a driver has that turned on, and accepts a ride and is headed toward one rider, (assuming James was the driver), and another request comes in like what's shown in your video, then Lyft will negotiate with Rider to see how much they are willing to pay, knowing they have full control over when to give James, (or any other driver) those three variable fixed prices, after Lyft takes their EARNED INCOME first. Then they re-calculate first ride James was given, give the first ride to a different driver, then if James is on AUTO ACCEPT, his app will redirect him to the other rider, and if no drivers in the area at all, (except James and one other driver), then if the other driver does not except the ride that James was headed to first, then the new rider has three price options to choose from, because they have the algorithm and map calibrated for how long it would take for James to complete the first trip then head to the rider given the three variable fixed prices.
No matter what, James does not get ahead on any of the three options, because he may be set up on AUTO ACCEPT.
If rider accepts either of option prices 2 or 3, that gives the "handlers" time to find another driver, or allow James to take a break before heading to the rider to be on time for those alternate price options.
They are micromanaging both rider and their drivers!
I would turn that switch off. The more detailed restrictions the driver chooses for driver's preferences, the less drivers available for an expedient pickup of rider, and the higher the price that rider will pay Lyft for Lyft's Convenience and Earned income, not the driver's earned income, or the convenience for the rider.
If the apps really cared about customer service, they would just match the closest driver, and if rider couldn't afford the make/model of the closest driver, then rider can wait and re-request when their preference of vehicle comes online. Or, the rider can call a cab, take the bus, call a private driver, ride a horse, or walk. Most communities have many options that are WAY LESS THAN THOSE RATES!
It's like Lyft is brand new again not knowing what it's doing, confusing the drivers and making drivers use up their resources faster, by wasting gas going in the opposite direction of the high priced ride, or drivers are in such short supply that Lyft isn't making any money, or it's a game being played by tech support to manipulate riders and drivers in order to get their own bonuses for the most amount of sales with UPGRADED FIXED VARIABLE "Ride Switch" PRICING. I wonder how much techs get paid to write code. 🧐
I'll come back & edit this. I'm tired. Jaw is still on the floor over this pricing! But I think it has to do with "Ride Switch" toggle button in driver app. If not, someone let me know.
Amazon pays a portion of the ride? Since when and how? They weren't paying for my rides when i worked at Amazon😮
They avoid paying taxes by reporting THEIR "expenses" as driver earnings, or am I wrong?
You mentioned something important. Taxes were really weird this year. What they reported and what we got was way off. We just filed what appeared to be legal. Still waiting on that return btw.
ANOTHER GREAT INFORMATIVE VIDEO JEFF!!! On so real shit Jeff I’m about to blow the doors wide open on this “commercial auto insurance” bologna. I spoke with Uber a few weeks ago and they said that the local govt. is responsible for commercial insurance in regards to how much to charge the passenger. I know, you know and the 300 know that’s BOLOGNA. Give me a week and I’ll have a new presentation with a grip of screenshots. WE THE 300, and WE AINT FALLING FOR THE OKEY-DOKE 😡🤬😡🍞💵💰
Please note, many clients in Los Angeles are aware that Uber and Lyft charging more to them ,and paying the driver less. Unfortunately they want to insist on using the apps , because they have the convenience of pushing a button. The button is overriding good or common sense.
On a side note when the ride volume is down during the summer. I noticed Uber & Lift start cutting the portion that drivers earn even more than they already take since they are losing revenue during lean months of Summer.
Uber isn't much better. When they broadcast a trip to us (that's not a trip radar), we only see the total time from pickup to drop off. It isn't until we accept the trip that we see the time it'll take us from our current location to get to the pickup and Uber won't provide that transparency to inform us of that information. They could literally be asking us to drive into a bad or unsafe location and we won't know until after we decide to take the trip and if we decide to cancel for our own safety, Uber starts leaving threatening messages on your profile about canceling trips and violating Community Guidelines.
Lately, down here in the Rio Grande Valley (TX) I've been noticing that Lyft is charging the riders the same amount they were charging around this same time last year BUT us drivers are getting less than half of what the riders are paying. For lift, I've been cherrypicking the rides that I accept because if Lyft isn't willing to pay me for all the wear and tear I'm putting on my car, I'm like "F the passenger! They can beat feet!". It's already bad enough Lyft won't give us a FIFO queue at the busiest airport of the three in the area and they rarely give bonuses at said airport. As a result, my acceptance rate has fallen to 4% because in our area, the most lucrative paying rides come from the airport but without an airport queue, we get flooded with trip requests asking us to drive 10-12 miles away to pick up a passenger and drop them off 2 miles from the pickup. To Hell with that!
What doesn't make sense is people thinking Uber and Lyft are all powerful corporations that can't be brought down. They're putting themselves in so much debt hoping to have a monopoly on the transportation market. They can easily be brought down by simply not allowing that to happen. If a company like HUM in 2017 was where they are right now theyd be expanding well by this point and would be taking down uber and lyft local market by local market. Forget HUM though. Now is the time private business can still take it all back. Once Uber and Lyft get those self driving vehicles all over its game over though because of rider stupidity. These kids need to be saved from themselves
Dear sir: the Venezuelan army has now taken over the hot dog delivery gigs, also ! It went from feast to famine 🔜 broke
Hallelujah to conversion real quick
Watching your videos is making me sick to the stomach…now I’m sat there watching these trips come in and have no interest in accepting anything smh.
I think they're locking out more than just New York. I think it's time Uber Support get on here and do some explaining.
I wonder if Dara K would come on here to be interviewed and talk to real people. Protests at their HQs doesn't seem to work. Especially when drivers are dealing with TECH SUPPORT IN ANOTHER COUNTRY THAT RESTRICTING COMMUNICATION LANGUAGE BARRIERS, AND USES WAY TOO MUCH NON-Human technology to try to get a simple concern addressed and fixed expediently.
Seriously though, I don't think that Uber's CEO is strong enough to come on a channel like this. 😂
That’s some crazy shit
Micdropbbq that's why we need hum in every market
Here in Boston area I've never seen fares so low . I'm working longer and longer to make $300, and that's with serious "Cherry Picking", I'm really struggling to justify working Uber anymore. It takes me 8 to 12 hours to make what I used to make in 4 to 5 …..maybe!
my passanger payments well be like 1k and i get like 500
well give you 70% after we charge 60% in fees
Don't take it
ill legit be online for 8 hours for $60
This is BS
We need more people like you, brother to expose these apps.
Great video Jeff.
You ever do a video of Uber stealing tips when passengers send them a week or two after the ride? I do not think it shows in the current week.
I don't understand why the government refuses to regulate the gig apps .
result of over hiring. they hired too many drivers and most of them were just wasting time and uber was ok with that. and now it hurts them(uber)
A notice to ALL RIDERS:
START TIPPING YOUR DRIVERS OR WE START LEAVING YOU STRANDED.
WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH. SHUTTING OFF THE APP AT CERTAIN TIMES IN CERTAIN AREAS WILL SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE.
ty for sharing
I’m sick of hearing about padro there riding he’s D like crazy the dude makes trash boring videos
