When you think of pellet grill accessories, you probably think of tongs, spatulas, and grill cleaning brushes… But these are the …
Hmmm
Great tips
Big suggestions is find your local restaurant supply store. They carry higher quality items for lower price. Sheet pans with appropriate cooling racks, stainless gastro pans, cambros and buy heavy duty foil on the 18 inch commercial roll in a box with the cutter.
Love your videos. I have an issue with large hands. Have you ever found XX-large gloves with liners? Bought the BBQ Joes and had to give them away.
How about that, you taught an old dog new tricks! I really loved the recommendation on the sheet tray + racks, as well as the off brand disposable grease bucket liners. And this may sound silly, but I've always pulled the tray out of the bottom of the smoker and stood it vertically in a large trash can. Then I see you scraping it inside the smoker, and I was thinking "duh!" why aren't I doing that! Great video Neal!
On gloves. Can you use rubber gloves from harbor freight
Thanks Neal! – All great options! – Cheers!
I keep my power cords off the ground and tucked away, not because of water but due to 3 dogs lol
Agree with the comment on the square mesh cooling racks. Even the dish washer wont get them clean. I usually end up putting them on my gas grill at 600+ degrees for 15 min and then hit the corners with a propane torch. I like your solution better.
Hello Neal, my friend attached a surge protector to a leg on his pellet smoker. What a convenience it is to be able to plug in a rotisserie and more at the same time. All the best to you and yours.
Great video Neal!! A lot of good and very thorough explanations in this video. Excellent work!
Keep in mind that in a lot of the US, most outdoor outlets are tied to the garage outlets. And they both have to be GFIC protected. Thus, you can easily trip the GFIC thap powers your grill if you have a freezer in your garage.
I love my pellet smoker but it consistently runs 30-60 degrees hotter than it indicates. A separate temp probe for ambient temperature is a must. My smoker has no shelf space except for the pellet hopper. They sell a folding shelf for the front but it’s $100. For $40 I bought a plastic folding table that accommodates all utensils, sauces, spray bottles and there’s plenty of room to wrap ribs or a pork butt or a brisket. I use it every cook.
Cotton gloves really cheap at Harbor Freight
This is EXTREMELY helpful!
Thanks for sharing this info with us Neil. Enjoyed the video a lot. Fred.
Great tips Neal! I like using the pellet containers to store my pellets. I like the 5 gallon containers but if you really snap on those lids they’re almost impossible to get off. Thanks for sharing brother! Cheers y’all.
Oklahoma joe sifter / storage bucket is what I use to eliminate the dust and broken pieces of pellets to prevent feed problems. I highly recommend this bucket, some of the best money I've ever spent.
Your Pot Boss Navigator has two hook rests under and behind the front folding shelf
One that works well is our Pit Boss Large spatula to get hams & butts off with. Very thick metal does not bend at all.
I can relate to your suggestion about buying racks and pans as a set. I'm so frustrated by my mishmash of things that don't fit well together!
I spot a Searwood
One thing I have seen in the back ground but you didn't mention today was the roll away tool storage cabinet. A good place to store all the accessories like temp probes, spatulas, domed covers, seasonings, the gloves, cleaning supplies, etc.
Neal, for the nitrile gloves I use the blue ones from harbor freight. I buy 4 or 5 boxes when they go on sale for $5.
I use a lot of them for various things
Awesome info Neal! Hope you and Amy have a awesome weekend brother! Cheers 🍻
It's raining really hard out here put all my morning plans on hold till at least Tuesday ! So I'm watching you tube like this one guys. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA..,….
