In this series I will be going over my process of getting a brisket ready to be sliced and sold by the pound for my home based …
Nice recovery Dash!
I've seen and heard of this from many long time pellet cooks. Most discover the glow plug has gone bad. So rule #1 is never assume the pellets have lit, ALWAYS verify. #2 get a back up glow plug and keep handy for the day it does crap out on you. It will eventually happen. I feel the biggest thing to learn here and it applies to all of us. Lady BBQ can be a cruel mistress. NEVER take her for granted or it WILL bite us on the ass. We've all been there. Great video. 😊
I have one pellet smoker that I have to fire start my pellets every time. For what ever reason the ignitors go back with in 5 months.
Your heating element might have went bad, so it just kept feeding pellets. IDK but you would not have been able to put your hand in there.
Man, just finished a small brisket the other day, where was this video before I started.
I've had the same stall out on my pitboss even after cleaning before the cook. Pellets are finiky sometimes and humidity plays a roll i think.
Really nice video. I have a Traeger as well, and I use a shop vac and clean out the ash, and fire starter area after every three cooks. Looking forward to the next video.
