DINNERS in 2023! | Extreme Grocery Budget Challenge | 5 Dinners for $4 Hello all my fellow foodies and welcome to my channel.
Chilli Mac or chilli cheese fries.
I love watching your videos.❤❤❤❤
Keep them coming Danielle! I love the different meal ideas even if you can adjust for one person to spread out the week. I was thinking of the chili with cucumber cause I don't want to go back to the store after surgery lol! And some burritos that I can just pop in the microwave. Thank you!
Love the chilli ingredients…in next weeks groceries 🙂 and you said it…I think its universal that us mums when we shop always get extra…and then kick ourselves that we do LOL…but these recipes I am making because I need to calm down my food shopping bill…here in Australia it still isn't as cheap as your ingredients but will make a dent just the same…
Chili baked potatoes
Are the eggs only $1.05 for 12 eggs?!@
I love that white pot. Where did you find a white one?
I'm not into spicy chili, so I do mild chili (or pasta sauce with fine ground onion & orange or red peppers): pinto & pinto beans (simmered ahead of time). Add a bit of pasta for another batch of future meals.
Spaghetti or fettuccine can replace the ramen noodles. Pasta is cheap also.
I just bought some liquid onion that I saw southern frugal mama use. That way it has all the onion flavor with none of the onion texture. It’s good I’ve been using it. Have you ever tried chili over baked potatoes? Very cheap. Very good. Everything looks Yum😊
Not sure how much this cost but I'm thinking it was pretty cheap: $5.00 pack of cut-up beef chunks, frozen broccoli, oyster sauce, soy sauce, noodles. Beef and broccoli over noodles. Protein and vegetables.
Chilly chesse crackers, Chilly chesse hot dogs, Chilly over rice and Chilly over noodles and last Chilly mac and chesse
corn bread crumbled into chili yum. sloppy joes over corn bread yum.. just some thoughts,
Great job being creative! Thankfully my 7 kids are all adults now , but I totally get cooking on a budget. FYI, it may not be just your burner that isn't level, it could be the stove. In case you didn't know there should be little levelers under your stove (in the corners) and they screw in and out. Maybe that'll help level things up!
Funny thing…the first time I have heard of serving chili over spaghetti was just this week and now, I hear it the second time!
Your kids are always so sweet!!! That chili looked delicious!! I was cooking supper while I was watching this and fussing about my stove burner being tilted just like yours!!! It frets me so bad!! Everything goes to the back side of the pan😂

👍😊❣️
I never eat my ramen with the water in it. I always drain it.
The Ham & Cheese Tortilla really surprised me. IDK why I hadn't thought of it myself. It would be perfect for someone like me (being single) cos its easily adaptable. I can use the smaller taco size ones for myself, and that would be the only difference to yours.
I'll also let you in on semi-secret. My college cooking days never really left me. I use ramen as my lazy day pasta for just about every pasta dish: spaghetti, alfredo, tuna casserole, you name it. I even have have a sick day lazy Chicken Noodle Soup!! (Can Chicken, Chicken Ramen, and Cup of mixed Veggies using half the Chicken flavor packet)
I also love Mild Chili (so not as much chili powder lol) over Baked Potatoes with Cheese. Potatoes are so versatile & can be served in so many ways. Just a thought for another $4 meal. 😊
You did fantastic! Ty
You are amazing thank you for doing this very difficult video to make it cost 4dollsrs aesl is just amaxing
👍
Would it be cheaper to buy a rotisserie chicken instead of two of those cans of chicken, wasn't much meat for 6 people, and the portions were small, I realize your kids are younger but, just didn't seem like very much food for 6. Just asking.
😷💚🍪🥓
chilli on baked potatoes is yummy❤❤
The last little bit of chili we will add it to spaghetti sauce to help flavor and give it some meat. Everyone loves it.
We also use sloppy joe sauce instead of tomato sauce in chili for more flavor.
A good way we have found to stretch chili is to use whatever recipe you like for pizza crust and then use the chili in place of sauce, slice a few hotdogs on top put your favorite cheese, bake, and you have chili dog pizza! It only takes a small amount of chili.
🙂
My first comment, I'm from Australia and do a similar chilli thing that also lasts for days for the 6 of us. I do add more veģies and rise my can's to add too. I also split into half before adding the chilli and can use it to make spaghetti bolognese and savoury mince. Love this challenge
Nobody complained ❤ that's always a good sign
