If you are someone in need of food, in the US you can call 211 and they will be such an amazing resource to you and your family!
Thank you for the inspo! We have drastically cut our grocery budget since I started watching your videos (thanks to Courtney from Common Tags!).
I am dealing with gastro issues now that I’m trying to correct so idk if I can eat the grits even though they look amazing but I DO know your mashed potato French fries have been life changing!!!! I make them every week for cheap lunch.
Your haircut looks gorgeous, and you long hair was gorgeous too! I’m trying to grow mine out but it takes so long!
Happy Holidays 🎉🎉🎉
Love your haircut! And when you pulled the parchment paper down away from your meatloaf my first thought was salmon loaf or tuna loaf. Looks really good!

Never explain! If people don’t get it by now, too bad, that’s on them lol
You mentioned 211 and if a person can’t get to them, they may deliver. Also, if you live I. A good community like I do and follow your local fb groups for your area, someone may be able to give you a ride, go pick it up for you and a lot of people in my community share food. It’s worth a shot to checkout local FB groups; sometimes they are filled with generous people. A lot of people in mine also adopt a family for the holidays and provide meals and other supplies. Their really are good people out there.
I have a friend in Vegas who has shops the 99¢ store often for her family of 4 and has gotten some great deals. The 99¢ store in Vegas she goes to rocks! It’s a great place to save money.
Yum! Have to try those"fries!" And again, your hair looks fabulous!
The 99cent only store doesn’t have any locations up here in Idaho BUT I remember back when EVERYTHING was 99 cents or under in that store. I used to shop there every week, I loved it. They had so many cool vegan options.
I've never cooked grits before but I want to run to the store right now to get some! They look amazing 😋 and I love the new hair cut!!!
Our $.99 store turned into $1.25 store. Dollar Tree. 😝
One of my favorite ways to eat grits is adding nutritional yeast and homemade bac'n bits along with dried minced onion and garlic salt. Dried parsley is a good addition as well. I guess I know what's for dinner now. LOL
I have a hard time with that word sometimes too, but I think you are looking for congealed…
Oh nice! I have some chickpea flour/besan on hand, I bet a third cup of that and some water in the rice and chickpea loaf would really make it stick together
Thank you for always posting smart ideas on food and cleaning! I'm saving this until I go shopping. Trying to use up all we have before then. I like grits, but I love cream of wheat. On the loaf, do you think pintos would be good or butter beans? I'm not a fan of lentils. I'd love if you had a recipe for veggie loaf, with corn and other veggies. I had something similar from the freezer section but can't find a good recipe.
Great meal plan!! I think your grocery list is spot on!!! Super well balanced!! 👏👏❤
Bahaha cream of wheat 🤮😂 I love grits but I eat them with nooch and salt sometimes with a side of veg. I may need to try it with something sweet 🤔and grit fries 🤯what? I’ve pan fried polenta so why not with grits 😁 Your bean loaf looked good and would be perfect for lunch meal prep with a salad or non starchy veg‼️🙌
I had big handful of greens to my oat smoothie plus some riced cauliflower. I add riced cauliflower to my cooked or overnight oats too. Just trying to sneak in extra veggies.
from mrs: awesome recipes! very economical! really nice haircut.
What do grits taste like? Might try. Love your hair.
Have you ever put a bay leaf in with your beans while they cook?
I have never been a fan of grits (basically tasteless). But these look pretty good.
My husband grew up eating savory grits, I grew up eating sweet. We both love grits though. They are cheap, versatile, gluten free, easy on the stomach and don't cause inflammation fo rme.
I just added grits to my shopping list!
I haven’t had them in probably 20 years – I’m 35
😂
Thanks for the inspiration as always, love💕
I like your add more greens resolution 👌🏻
I always grate zucchini into my am oats then add banana and berries. It’s such a mild sweet flavor and nice texture. I know it’s not technically a green but it is green – and healthy haha
Have a lovely weekend!
Ps I hope your husband’s recovery is coming along well!
That was an amazing deal on the grits. More great recipes to try. Your hair looks beautiful.
