This dish really looks good. You really touched my heart with your devotion. Thank you very much 😊
Thank you for shearing
Thank you darlin for your great ideas both with the meal and sharing it. ❤
very nice
My mom used to make this for us as kids and we loved it. She used ground beef when it was cheap enough and whatever vegetables she had extra like celery or carrots, potato's etc thank you for sharing this
Thank you and appreciate all of your knowledgeable videos! You bring back soo many wonderful family memories of cooking together! We would cook a huge soup pot of cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, garlic, kale, swiss chard, spinach, corn, peppers, turnips, sour kraut radishes, carrots, parsnips, beans and polish sausage or beef sausage. You can add anything you like or take away.
We always had a garden to choose the veggies we wanted. Times are changing and knowing JESUS CHRIST as SAVIOR & KING makes ALL the troubles of each day more bearable to none! 🙏🙏♥️👍💯
This is great, my grandmother had a depression meal with tomato sauce, hamburger and potatoes, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder also a splash of cheese. It is like spaghettis sauce over potatoes. She called it Portuguese Hamburger. One of my kids favorite meals.
Correction: Biden Stew
Thank you for this economical recipe. I love it but kids really love it. A win-win❣️
Just found your channel, this looks pretty tasty to me, Lol. Born in West Virginia, although I don't live there now. Most of my Kin are hillbillies. Sure I'll be watching your channel in the future. Thanks for the recipe.
When my kids were little (in the 80's) we used hot dogs for everything. Hotdogs and cabbage, Hotdogs and tacos. I made my own corn Tortillas. Scrambled eggs and hotdogs, Goulash and how dogs. I don't buy them now. Lolol
One of my favorite meals is cut up hot dogs and onions,, macaroni and tomato soup. At first my husband though I was nuts…now he asks for it. If I don't have hot dogs, I use ground beef.
I was raised by my grandmother, and she had a garden. The biggest thing that stuck with me is when she would harvest all the cabbage from the garden and bring out her large crocks and make sauerkraut out of all that cabbage from the garden. That was some cheap eating. She also did a lot of canning, and I remember helping her. One of my favorite canned things was garden tomatoes turned into a sweet tomato ketchup. I knew more old fashion stuff than other kids my age. LOL Great recipe.
Tyvm love this
Freeze the leftovers
Great recipe
Wow I see your notice sign . Glad to see someone like minded
Becky, you’re such a beautiful soul.
God bless you Becky, a warm meal like that sure takes me back to when I was a kid. Especially on the cold winter days up here in Canada, it always hit the spot and warned us up. 😎🥘🙏👍
if you think it's too salty add a potato the potato will soak up the salt. you can also soak your hotdogs in water before cooking them to get reduce salt 8 hours up to overnight.
Great episode…..we will probably make meals like this as America implodes
Sounds good
This looks good!
Hard times my foot that meal sounds wonderful and cornbread would be so good with it I remember my mom cooked hotdogs with sauerkraut I didn’t care for kraut thought but I do like the flavor it gives to ribs and potatoes I just skip the kraut
This doesn’t look very appetizing at all. I’d rather just mix hotdogs with some cheap pork n beans and pour it over some instant, leftover mashed potatoes or even potato patties with some jiffy corn muffins on the side.
For fart free beans, after letting them sit in water overnight, boil them 10 minutes and dump the water.
Replace that water with fresh boiling water and boil another 10 minutes. Drain again and replace with fresh boiling water and cook until done. You add salt and comino or other spices at the beginning of the final boil.
It strips the pinto bean of a protein that causes gas.
This is a wonderful recipe Becky…I really love the recipes from you…been away for awhile, but I’ll be tuning in..TFS 😍😘
Thankfully, I was raised on Mexican food. It's cheap and lots of flavor.
Beans, garlic, comino and Mexican rice and lard is a perfect protein.
Corn or flour tortillas go well with it.
Hope bicycle Joe and democrats that voted for him CHOKE on Hoover Stew!
That's emergency food.
And yes, it's worse than the worst MRE.
Making actual stew would be healthier. My grandmother had 6 kids, cooked all day. During a war in her country.
Maybe it is a YT glitch or something but when I went back to look at some of your older videos, they go back 6 months only. Hope it is just a glitch, I go back and refer to your videos often when making certain dishes. I rarely comment but always give you a thumbs up. Love your videos.
I love the "NOTICE" you have posted on what I assume is the side of your refrigerator. You are a kindred spirit. Love your recipes. The one for sausage gravy has been a big hit. Thanks for sharing.
