Here's an inexpensive meal: Smoked sausage any kind browned; saute' bell peppers and onions then stir in BBQ and Chili sauce. Serve over rice. Made this for my construction worker husband. Put in a good wide mouth thermos with the rice on top. Gave him a throw away bowl to dump out the meal. Also froze Chubbs baby wipes in the freezer and put in his cooler.

Used to make beans and hotdogs a lot when my son was little boy and my ex and I had foster kids. Never put Mac and cheese in my beans tho. Never thought of it.
Cheap meal, but sometimes Walmart is cheaper. Dollar tree is$1.25 now and we’ll $1.00
some times at Walmart and you can get Mac and cheese $1.00 or GV at Walmart under $1.00.
I buy GV on most things not everything if I can get GV.
I know GV is not always the Best Buy but most times GV is cheaper,

Always made the beanie weinies for my kids growing up along with jiffy brand cornbread. I used pork-n-beans, cut up hot dogs, brown sugar and mustard. and if time allowed bacon on top and baked in the oven.

Well, I made your recipe for canned green beans and they were great. I also made your recipe for apple fritters and they turned out great. My husband loved them both!!! And he normally will not eat green beans.

When I was first married there was a hurricane coming to Corpus Christi 1970. My husband was in the Navy. He called me and told me to go to the store and get any thing we didn't have to cook. I got probably 20 cans of beanie weenies. Our electricity was off for 2 weeks. We always laugh when we hear beanie weenies. Love watching you.

Use the Vienna sausages with cream of wheat. My great grandmother got me used to eating it. Just make cream of wheat as instructed on box. For the smaller cans of V.S., I’d make enough Cream Of Wheat for two servings, salt and butter to taste, add in broth from can and chop up the V.S.’s into bite size circles. Add at the end and it’s delicious comfort food!
