I have a great idea for your heater! I have an outlet that is controlled by a wireless thermometer. It can do heat or cool and it's less than $25USD. Hope this helps, it has been a lifesaver for me!

Don’t heat the whole van, get 12v electric blankets and only turn that other heater on in the morning to warm the air.
Heating the air all night is a waste.

To be clear: We would only need a goal zero or a wall outlet if we drain our system more then we should to plug in our battery charger to get it to the right voltage. Like I said we never even knew we needed it since it’s never happened but it’s good to have just in case we leave something overnight when we shouldn’t. Some 12v systems work the same way so it’s something to think about for your own system.
