Great meal thank u. Yep I only have a bjs. I shop there and I bought 2 packages of 4 packs of butter for I believe 14.49 each which is better than Walmart. These rising food costs are scary to think of. I have already started to feed my family more healthier and cleaner. Camirra as always I'm always in awe of your recipes and this one is a must try for me. Have a Blessed Day ๐Ÿ™Œ

I admire how considerate you are towards all budgets and culinary tastes. You never assume home cooks can afford every ingredient all the time. By the way, those scrumptious rolls made me a believer in non-garlic rolls๐Ÿฅณ.

Oh My Goodness! This meal looks so scrumptious. I love to hear you talk as you prepare these dishes. You are so wonderful Camirra! I wish you were my neighbor and BFF. My mother is from KY, and she never cooked greens or ever made sweet potato pie. I've never had either dish in my life. I want to try making them soon. My grandma and grandpa lived in KY. Grandma, was a wonderful cook and could make a feast out of practically nothing (they were poor), but oh how she could cook up a huge meal to feed us all when we went down there for visits. My mom, could cook but she was not crazy about cooking, especially from scratch. She prefered to have meals that were budget friendly and quick to prepare. She did do up Thanksgiving and Christmas meals with lots of care though. I always loved to cook, (I took after Grandma) but she was the very best cook in the family. Sadly, mom and Grandma are gone now… My favorite pies for Thanksgiving are Pumpkin and Pecan pies. I do want to make your Sweet Potato Pie though and I will tell you how it comes out. I too always roast my sweet potatoes in the oven like you do for maximum flavor and I find doing so also makes for the very best Sweet Potato Suffle' too which I enjoy making for both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.

I have a simple tip for you for tying up any Poultry legs to prepare them before roasting in the oven. I use Unwaxed Dental Floss to tie up both Roasting Hens and Turkeys. It's cheap, lasts a long time and works very well. I've never used twine and with the costs of Aluminum Foil these days at nearly $8.00 for a roll of regular 200 yrds, here in Michigan, and that's not the heavy duty foil either!. I shudder to think what the cost is for heavy duty foil! Anyway, The unwaxed dental floss is much cheaper and very easy to use for tying up your poultry legs before roasting.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and if you don't have any company for dinner on Thanksgiving, just give me a shout, I'll help you eat all that delicious food! lol Have a blessed week Y'all!

Hi that looked so delicious! I did miss cranberry sauce (whole) out of the can tho. I also like candied yams but then would have a diff dessert. And roasted Brussels sprouts, or peas w pearl onions. I like walnuts and mushrooms, so I would add those to my dressing, but that makes it more expensive, just good. That could be offset w having mashed potatoes instead of the mac and cheese ๐Ÿ™‚
