I really liked the story that took place in Ireland, you don't hear a lot of scary stories from European countries much anymore. Also I'm pretty sure what she saw was Cú Sidhe. They are called the Black dogs of the Mounds and are considered to be the servent dogs of the faeries. Usually if men see them then they act as an omen of death and they will die, but if women see them it is usually an omen that they will be kidnapped and kept by the Fae to be wet nurses for faerie babies.

I am of Irish and Scottish decent on my fathers side and I have also had a Cú Sidhe experience. I live in a very old house and the basement is actually connected to underground caverns that were sealed off about 100 years ago. Anyway, I went downstairs into my basement to get food from our freezer down there and I opened the door that is in the room which connects to the sealed tunnels and I saw a massive black dog that looked to be made out of whispy black smoke and had one white and one red eye. For reference, I have a Great Dane who is roughly 2.5 feet tall and 190lbs and this thing was twice his size. He was basically eye level to me at 5'5.

I am aware of the fae because I love folklore so I apologized for disturbing it and backed out of the door and closed it again. I later brought down milk with honey in it and left it just inside the door.

I haven't seen it since but every time I'm in my basement I feel like I'm being watched so I think it is still there. Either way it accepted my apology seeing as the milk was empty the next day and there were no other animals that could get into that room since it's a closed cellar with no windows. Also I have obviously not been kidnapped lol. I think it didn't mean to be discovered, it was just comfortable in that area so it was resting there. It didn't growl or try to attack me it just looked startled that I could see it. I have no interest in upsetting the fae so I will let him be and announce myself before going into that room from now on.

PLEASE take this as a compliment, but your voice is so soothing. I use my noise cancelling headphones and play your long videos to help me nap during my pregnancy. Wish I could do it on the comp videos but the changing of voices wake me up and lets be honest, not everyone has a good radio voice😂 But I also listen when doing house work and such😂

The first story is called Manananggal.
    Meaning Half-Bodied monster.
    Great to hear this one.
Though people still call this a myth, in provinces and locations near mountains like mine, they prevail.
Pregnant women and young kids are their fave meal.
And yes. They have wings. Huge ones resounding like huge bats.
    How I know?
I almost became a meal for one.
    True story
Hearing this made me remember it vividly… with a cold trickle

manananggal is under the cryptid umbrella of the "Aswang". Aswang are more like Skinwalker as they are believed to human practicing witchcraft. Aswang can transform into an enlarge form like a black boar, cat or dog . Manananggal is partcular as it is identified by being a women who's upper torso flies while the lower half hides. although there are also speculations that Manananggal aren't just woman but also men, it's just that most men in the old days don't cut their hair. they're not like the 'enkato' (enkantos are like yokai of japanese folklore) that are inhuman and rather spirit like.

My favorite is farm horror stories or mountain horror stories. I grew up on a farm and I love the mountains and forest, I've had some experiences and honestly listening to these does not freak me out. The only thing that does is robberies for some reason 😂
