I have lost 85 pounds still have 40ish to go. I have not lost since July. Not a stall this has been a choice. I look at it as I have maintained this for 4 months now to get back at it.

LOL, so three months of no loosing weight is a stall? Here's a brain teaser… If I'm at my friends house, I don't lose weight, or I gain it. It doesn't matter that I get more exercise here. I'm sticking to my diet.. I'll lose a pound a day at home, and gain weight here. WTF?

I walk alot at home but I'm weak because I had Stage 3 breast cancer and I had a double mastectomy and limp nodes out under my right arm. I'm almost 64yr old and I went from 425lbs to 220lbs but stalled for a couple years. Staying away from diet cokes and carb smart ice cream bars has been a struggle for me and I eat meat and eggs otherwise.

I think what attracts me so much to Emily & Sarah channels is that they seem authentic. They actually were obese at one time and can relate to our struggles and also put themselves out there. They also have the same type of humor as I do so I enjoy watching them.

At your ages maybe exercise isn’t as important but as you age it’s vital to your spine, back, bones and heart! I’ve been uncoordinated and off balance all my life BUT I started exercising in water and that was the answer. I lap swim but those aqua classes with a good instructor are also good and fun besides. Good luck..,you two are funny and great.

Good points! When I started low carb lifestyle for my health, I lost inches before the scale started showing it. And after I had my six month checkup, I relaxed my diet. I started trying other gluten-free pastas and breads. But it's time to get serious again and start making my own breads and leave out pasta. Remember that if you weigh yourself on a different scale, you may get different results. I used my son's scale this past week and it said I gained 4 lbs since my last weigh in at home. I just weighed at home today and it says I've lost 3 lbs since weighing on my scale. I do need to start tracking my measurements. I have 5 months till my next Dr appointment.
The hardest part for me right now is getting rid of clothes that are too big for me. I'm down 22 lbs in 7 months, but down 67 lbs in 2 years.

You can’t exercise away a bad diet. Exercise is good for many things and helps keep your organs, joints, and muscles healthy but it’s a terrible weight loss plan. I believe it’s less about calories and more about how many times you put food in your mouth. Every time you do it triggers insulin which is THE fat storing hormone. Also, your body will burn new fat before stored fat. That’s science. So, if you’re eating loads and loads of fat, you never give your body the chance to burn stored fat. Eat enough to feel satiated but not so much that you’re constantly only burning dietary fat. You can eat more protein for satiety.

Sometimes the ol' body just goes into stall mode here and there. Patience is the key word. There are no rules requiring you to drop 5 lbs a week. Keep your focus on the long term.

For me, measuring myself and the scale works. When I haven't lost any weight, then the inches start coming off. When weight comes off, the inches stop. Has anyone else noticed that?

Hey girls … love your honest approach. For me I lost over 44 kg (100 lbs) and when I thought I had stalled, rather than worry about it I focused on something else.
    Less stress… more life. 😎

Happy Birthday!!! It would be great to learn about any foods and/or ingredients that, while considered keto-acceptable, you have personally found to cause inflammation or intolerances.

Lost 57 lbs. Current weight: 130 lbs. Did it with strict keto and IF. Now trying to maintain my weight, allowing myself extra carbs from keto friendly veggies. My tips: count total carbs, not net carbs, don't add 'extra' fat like fatbombs, bullet proof coffee, MCT oil. Eat whole foods, no processed stuff. Good luck all!
