Hi! I thought I would let you know they sell the tiny bags of Chex Mix at Sams for $13.58 (price may vary) and that comes to .32 each with 42 bags per box. We love those!!!

    Great haul Jaime! 🤗
And the Flash Foods boxes are still going strong! Have you ever made a pear butter? It's like apple butter but with pears. Or a pear cobbler? My mother used to make pear relish. It's technically more like a chow-chow which is a relish. 😋 But it's made with shredded cabbage and onions and things like that. And as ripe as the pears are, cooking them in some way is usually better.
I noticed you picked up something with hatch green chilies in it. Have you ever had hatch peppers before? Because they're very hot. 😉
You also got chicken bouillon. Have you ever tried Better than Bouillon? It's great for getting the chicken bouillon flavor but not as salty as the other products.
The turkey bugers with parmesan sounds great! This might become one of your new regulars. ☺️
You had gotten quite a stockpile of bell peppers. When I would get an abundance of them, I would chop up some and bag them for the freezer. That way I had a stash of peppers ready to go for cooking. Sometimes I would cut them up in strips too, great for stir fry.
When you roasted the tomatillas, did you roast the garlic too? Talk about getting a wonderful garlic taste! 😁
Apparently I haven't been checking the frozen vegetable section too closely. I'd never seen the bag of shredded potatoes and sweet potatoes with the other veggies in it. Maybe because I can't get anything else in my freezer. 😋 But I love finding new things in the freezer section. ☺️
I had to laugh when you talked about making some Mexican food this week. My sister called Sunday and wanted Mexican food. There's a place we found about 35 miles away. Our friend was staying in that town during her last stage of recovery so we'd eat there after we went to visit her. Well she's finally home but we decided to go anyway, just to get the Mexican food. So we got to the first town, about 15 miles from home, and I almost suggested stopping there since there was a decent Mexican restaurant there. But we continued on another 20 miles and finally arrive at the restaurant, starving, only to find it closed. But we knew of another good restaurant, not Mexican food but still good. So we rushed over there only to find they were just closing. The people there told us about another Mexican restaurant but we drove around and never found it. 😟
So we stopped at a couple of stores and you could tell I was hungry because I bought their bakery cookies in each store. We finally headed back towards home and finally stopped at the first town, just 15 miles from home. We both got something different and it was wonderful!
But in the midst of running around looking for somewhere to eat, we found out the original restaurant was closed because it's under construction, not because it was Sunday. Perhaps a phone call would be nice next time…
But you shouldn't have this trouble next week since you're making your own Mexican food. 😉
And perhaps we should have a better plan next time instead of jumping into the car and just taking off down the road. 😑
Thanks for sharing another great video! 🥰
