Thank you Janice for introducing so many nice food places. I definitely want to try out this Great Wall Tofu place. I grew up having the savoury tofu pudding for breakfast back in my hometown which we call Tofu Head豆腐脑, which I don't understand why😅. In my memory we had daylily vegetable黄花菜 in it. It was so yummy! I don't seem to be able to find the same type in Sydney but this Great Wall tofu store is definitely a place to check out. Thanks again~~
I tried both sweet and savoury tofu pudding. I always add crushed Chinese brown sugar block and mix, yum…..
ALL YOU CAN EAT?!?! I WANT THIS!! I hoping to be in Sydney next month and I want to hit this place. Hopefully there is no lockdowns. Also love the little blooper at the end 😅😅
I love Japanese BBQ! So good. Those gas BBQs are OK but the best Japanese BBQ is with the charcoal BBQ.
🤩
I believe savoury tofu pudding is a more Northern Chinese dish and sweet tofu pudding is more Southern. I spent part of my childhood in Central China and tofu pudding is a common breakfast streetfood. They sold both the sweet and savoury but as a kid I always had the sweet one!
You should also try Touka in Parramatta for yakiniku! It's a la carte and they also have set menus. The quality is really good – better than those buffet places and I find I end up paying around the same amount in the end.
Love seeing where you go, especially near where I live, I will check out West Ryde and Eastwood as i live close to them, like 5min dive away.
i never had tofu pudding surprisingly dont know…just doesnt loook good to me but i do like tofu….i should try
Always love to watch your videos, great food. If you have time please visit my restaurant called Green Basil 🌿 in Campsie, a small restaurant but you’ll be surprised with the quality of the food. My recommendation Tom yum hotpot 🙂
Omg, I miss this place
Congratulations that Sydney has back to normal, which helps your return for the restaurant tour!
the best
Great video Janice! I have to ask… how is it that you don't weigh 200 pounds? Must be because you are young… and probably exercise… or your genetic code keeps you thin. You're a lucky girl!
do they take the nsw dine and discover tickets
The Japanese feast looks great but I can't stand time limits and being rushed when dining, so I've been put off trying a few different ones here. That place especially would have me taking an hour or two just to eat the sweetcorn with chopsticks, how is that possible? 🙂 That tofu pudding looks delicious, I wish we had a shop like that in SA.
I freakin love tofu pudding! We have something similar in the Philippines called taho and we add like a vanilla syrup to it and sago. Never had it with savoury, need to try.
💜💜💜💜👍👍👍👍👍
Great place to go, although it is expensive, but it is worth every penny. The restaurant is on sale on certain days of the week (excluding weekends), as well as on your birthday. 😁
Many choice of side dish and meat for BBQ, must try Wagyu Fingers & fresh seafood. Also I recommend the lotus chips, the sticky rice cake with condensed milk too… 🤤 I really like the mini ice creams you get along with the buffet but the special desserts was not that great 😐
I really like sweet ginger tofu pudding. Almost every time I go to NYC I stop at a dim sum place and they have it. Not sure if this is a typical dim sum item but it is so good.
Looks delicious!
A request if you have time. Sydney is about to lose a piece of food history. The iconic Marigold yum cha in Chinatown will close forever in a few weeks after decades of feeding Sydneysiders. Any chance of a visit before they do?
Really great video Janice I love the all you can eat ,the meat looked DELICIOUS and I love the wings too ..The tofu place in Eastwood is good I have been there before ..love your channel ❤️🥰💕..x
I went to Kuro twice. Mixed reviews really. Glad you had a good time. Going back a second time might jinx it as it did for me.
I've had Shabu Shabu before and it's really good, the taste is unique. I've always wondered what those chips were called, now I know lol
good video
The best thing about “the best week” is Janice’s video 🙂💙
Always interesting and fun to. Stay safe take care
Your beautiful… I love you and your great videos always full of joy and beautiful smile
Thanks for sharing nice restaurant great for meat lover and love the Tofu Pudding 😋
The reason why the soup at a restaurant is delicious because of MSG. hahaha just kidding…
i've been here a few times, i'd say it's good but nothing amazing. the quality of the meat and service really varies and i feel like they rush you sometimes. that being said i love the vibe and location its a very convenient spot
Non Sydney viewer here but still Aussie- from Newcastle/Hunter Valley, and I’m an dying to come back down to Sydney. I miss it so much, and the list of restaurants to try just keeps getting longer and longer.
Looks so good Janice 😀
Have heard mixed reviews of Kuro, glad to see some footage of it. Maybe you should pay the new Butcher's Buffet in Eastwood a visit – $30 weekday lunch AYCE (or $24 if you dress up and pretend to be a student 🤣).
Hi Janice 👋🏻
The wagyu steak place looks amazing making me want to fly back to Sydney! The butter corn the restaurant had is what they corn cheese corn and they use mozzarella cheese instead in Canada
you made me crave jbbq.. last time i went was pre lockdown at Nikaido Burwood. Definately gonna give this chatswood one a shot when i can
This place is awesome! We went there for a birthday dinner…the green tea is delicious as well…we ate SOOOOOO much food when we were there…
Nice wagyu beef. It makes me salivating. It is quite a good deal for all you can eat wagyu I think 🙂 and the tofu pudding first time i see the savoury style, with the chopped pickle, spring onion, looks like the topping seen on a traditional singaporean dish chui kue..
ANZ umbrella? 🤣🤣🤣
next time you should try Gyuzou on Sussex St in the city!! it's all you can eat as well but including all the seafoods!
Looks delicious 😋
sᴜᴘᴇʀ 🤤🤤🤤
That Tofu pudding looks silky smooth , i prefer sweet, have to check ot that Yakiniku in Chatswood. i go to Kashiwa Yakiniku in Crows Nest or Suminoya in the city. 🙂
Hmm always considered visiting this place in chatswood.
Will have to give it a try now 😀
