Love your videos. I'm from MS and I learned to cook the same kinds of meals you do. I remember adding other cuisines to my repertoire after I got out on my own because once I tasted them, I had to know how to cook them. Do you have an Asian or Indian market near you? I moved to a smaller town and I miss shopping those stores so much! I used to buy every kind of lentil, so many beans, spices, veggies and fruits, dark soy sauce and huge bags of rice and cans of olive oil so cheap! Now I can't even find mochiko or decent kimchi and I'm dying to try konjac noodles. I order gochujang from Amazon, but I can't afford to order everything I want that I used to be able to buy off the shelves of those stores.

Can anyone tell me how they get jalapenos off their hands after cutting them?

She may have gone over this in another video that I haven't seen, but I tried to cook with fresh jalapenos for the first time recently and scratched my eyes after washing my hands like normal. I've never felt pain like that before and I'd like to avoid it in the future.

Crazy! I just made this meat loaf two weeks ago btw! It didn't taste so great.. Same recipe. Felt like the croutons were mushy.
Not sure what I did wrong but I felt like I wasted that meat and should have made burgers. Would have been more enjoyable.
I used all kinds of powder like you except the hot sauce. I love the Stouffers meat loaf btw.. was sad about the difference.

Generally if it's marked a certain way and the manager is thinking about the store numbers and bottom line vs what the local laws are or state's, they could get in big trouble with the Dept of Weights and Measures and correctly pricings vs not and then not honoring it is a possible fine and then corporate would be involved. Since he was nice I could see letting it go. But I know of a friend who the night shift manager in charge was not willing to help nor inform the store about it but also took their sweet time in coming to the front. Not only did this cause her to miss her ride back home, waiting for another took an hour and she was out in the open and in danger since she was a sitting duck in the city. That didn't sit well with her nor the people that cared for her and after some consideration and discussion. She made the call and an inspector came out and got em. She even warned the manager of the seriousness and he acted like he wouldn't do the work. So that was like calling her bluff, and she showed them it wasn't a bluff. From then on they were sweet to her. Funny how that works.

I love your videos. I wish we had grocery stores here with prices that low. That's amazing. I live in Canada. There is just myself and my husband now. – we spend about $400 every 2 wks — crazy.. but you're giving me some fantastic ideas 😊

I really like these weekly normal cooking videos. Seeing what you cook IRL instead of dollar store challenges is very helpful for more realistic budget and meal planning.

I love carrots so much! I am going to try the TikTok crispy Parmesan roasted ones this weekend. I also make meatloaf with the same things every time, otherwise my family won’t eat it.

Everything you cooked looked amazing!!! I love when you tell us the food prices and the stores. You got some great bargains, especially the steaks! I wish we had a Food Lion. My stores are still pretty high on meats and produce. (Not much meat sales)

YAY! Thank you Lisa Dawn for another great video! I always get impatient when it's been a while, not fair I know lol! Also I was sooo happy to see your handsome cat guy, I hadn't seen him in any of your vids for a while and I started to be concerned about him – glad to see he's his usual big guy sweet self!
