1/4 teaspoon seems like a pretty small amount of yeast to leaven 3 cups of flour, but I did follow the recipe. I got zero rise. I use a whole yeast packet per loaf for most bread recipes. My yeast doesn't expire for another year, but I admit not testing it before posting this comment. I'm bummed.

Most gluten free flour mixes already have the xanthan gum in them. If not, I bought mine on Amazon. I am trying this recipe now- I followed it exactly. Excited for such a simple recipe!!! So many of them are way too complicated. thanks Maxine!

Many people are obese or overweight around the world and especially in the United States, where thousands of people are obese because of bad eating habits and of course unhealthy lifestyles. While some people call themselves diet experts but really only know a thing or two about healthy eating and living (Yes, there are a lot of people like that) say that eating bread, especially is that gluten-free bread can only make you fat. Is what they are saying true? Definitely not, real dieticians (professional nutritionists and other health professionals) believe that eating gluten-free bread and bread for people with celiac disease won't cause any problems. unwanted fat if eaten properly. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

Just found your channel and tried this bread today! Turned out wonderful. Soft crust and yummy. I used 1 to 1 bobs mill gf flour mix, added 1 1/2 cups of water, and a little bit of maple syrup. So easy to make. Will definitely be making this again. Thank you!

Maxine: I followed the recipe but substituted psyllium husks (2:1 so 1/2 tsp) for the xantham, as my stomach reacts to that. Water was 125 degrees; used the full 1.5 cups gradually, then baked covered for 35, then uncovered for 15. Crust was lighter than yours, and the bread is dense; even feels a bit damp, but the crust will be overdone if I bake it longer. What's your suggestion for next time, please? Thank you.
