My Instant pot is still in the box, but this helps me not feel so intimidated. Questions: after you turn the knob to "venting", how do you know when it's safe to open? And also, when you set the timer for say 10 minutes to cook, does it take a while before the timer starts? Like does it take a while to pressurize?

My potatoes came out great, whipped them up in the kitchen aid perfectly with milk, garlic, butter and ranch dressing. Missippi pot roast is in now. I wish this thing cooked a package of bacon all at once lol. Thank you!!
I am so glad you have an Instant Pot 🙂 The first thing I ever made was meatloaf and mashed potatoes in it, it was delicious! Our second dinner was lasagna, can you tell we are into comfort foods lol? Everything we have made has been awesome, and you can make popcorn also with a glass lid (I just used one I had with my other pots) my boys were in heaven! My slow cooker has been unused since! My next gadget on my wishlist is an airfryer.
