Another great video. I have a question…. Can you tell me how you make your tea? I see you boiling it on the stove…. Seems like a few tea bags in a pot of water….. could you give me measurements? And then do you add the sugar while it is hot before putting it in the fridge? I appreciate any info. Mine never comes out good. Thanks in advance.

✍ Hello Leslie and Bryant…Love that you're sharing your church family meal with us and what and how you cooked the meal. Oh Leslie Sams potato salad is the "best" I've been craving some and need to see if my daughter will take me to buy some. The pork chops and pinto beans make a delicious meal and I know sweet potatoes are your favorite but I can't stand them and my grown girls love them like you do. I like fried potatoes with my chops and beans…yum. Thats really nice you get to have a meal you didnt have to cook at the Mayors prayer breakfast. God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio

Leslie, we buy those whole pork loins from Sam's Club and I cut up my own chops. We call them Pork Loin chops. Also we buy those jumbo potatoes from there too. I cook them in my air fryer. I rub them with olive oil and cover them with sea salt. You do not need to poke them all over either. I cook at 400° for 50 to 60 mins. They are huge potatoes and the outside of the potatoes crisp up so nice and make a great shell for the tender potato inside. Congratulations on being able to getting to work on your cookbook again. Hope you feel better soon.❤

I used to make pork chops French style. I'd sauté the pork chops in a frying pan to get a little color on them. Then I'd pour in apple brandy, apple cider, add apple slices around the pork chops, and add a few onion slices. Cover the frying pan with a lid. Pop the frying pan into the oven and cook until the apple slices and pork are tender. Remove everything from the pan except the liquid. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a boil until the sauce thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste.

I usually added a bit more apple brandy or cognac at the end for oomph. Plate the pork chops, apples, and serve it with whatever side you like. Apple sauce goes good with this, as well as green beans. Pour the sauce and onions over the pork chops and serve.

I ran out of apple brandy and found that I could substitute French cognac. I also experimented and found that I could substitute apple cider vinegar sweetened with a bit of sugar to cut the sourness. The apple flavor is what you're after, because apples and pork chops are a great pairing.

This dish is really really good and super easy to make, because the majority of the dish is cooked in the oven. Start to finish is maybe a half hour.

You are beautiful, always, you truly light up my days! I always loved the satisfaction of using food I had canned myself. I miss catering & doing large meals like that. It was the first way my Pastor got my husband involved in the church where he was a great cook. Meals are one of the best ways to bring people together & add in church fellowship…it doesn't get better! Days are so hard without having decent sleep. I hope you get some great rest!

Hi Leslie, sorry you're not feeling well! I don't sleep well either…up, and down every night. Ugh! My biggest problem with that is that when I get up at night I usually end up in the kitchen stuffing my face with junk food. Hope you're feeling better my friend! Loved your video! Yummy pork chops with all the fixings! And your church dinner looked excellent too!! Hi to PB and your family!! God bless everybody!!
