Those pieces of chicken are insanely big. What kind of chickens is that meat from? I can't wait to try this sauce. I am already planning on adding Swerve brown sugar too!

You know it's getting back to the way it was when I was a kid where just about everything was made by my grandmother in the kitchen. I kind of like it this way because eating the other (buying everything in the store boxed and bottled) is dangerous for health reasons today. Unfortunately when you have both parents working these days, now that prices are going up in record numbers in the last year, I can see that a lot of people are going to be to busy to do a lot of cooking in the house. But , because of the newer tools in the kitchen, it makes it a lilttle easier to accomplish.

I used liquid smoke with organic diced tomatoes.. to avoid the fireroasted hunts plus using the liquid smoke tastes even better~ and also it gives that BBQ flavor and liquid smoke is ..well.. its keto. and only takes a little bit to flavor.

Such a great idea to use the maple stevia! I've been making bbq sauce for decades now-, & for years I made it w/brown sugar. We actually like it even better now without the processed sugar~ seems we can taste the other ingredients so much better now! I still use dijon mustard & a drop or two of liquid smoke, so it's not completely "clean keto", but I'm alright w/that for the amounts used. If I'm short on time, I'll use S.F. ketchup for the base. *Also, for any tomato-based sauce or condiment, I keep a jar of powdered, dried mushrooms that I like to add, really helps round out the flavors & pull them together, I suppose it's that "umami" effect?
Thanks for sharing Judi~ can appreciate making enough extra for leftovers. I figure, why wouldn't I since I'm already cooking- makes it so nice when there are a few different ready-to-eat options in the fridge. ~Samantha in AZ

I have everything in my pantry to make this so it’s on the menu tonight! It’s so nice to have a clean bbq sauce recipe in my back pocket! 2 grams of carbs for 2 tablespoons looks like amazing macros to me! I’m also going to make a big batch of your rub to have on hand! Thanks for sharing Mrs.Judi!

Suggestions to those who only want to use some of the sauce in the bowl:
Use a spoon to put sauce on chicken, without touching chicken, then use basting brush on chicken only.

    No double dipping. 🙂
Can use remainder of sauce for ribs or something else.

A 2G-carb KETO BBQ sauce! Thank you for creating the recipe, also for showing us how to do it all the way to the finished chicken. I’ve been BBQing the chicken and eating it dry for 2 years now. I appreciate what you both do to help us.
