Hey It’s Lisa Childs! Today I’m bringing you 26 Amazing Instant Pot tips, tricks, hacks, and facts! The instant pot doesn’t need to be intimidating, even though it …
I Don't have a yoghurt Button on my Instant Pot.
My tip to add would be to ALWAYS check the status of that sealing ring before putting the lid on, making sure it's really seated – it can droop out of position if you're not careful and prevent a good seal. You know it is happening when steam starts to rise around the entire perimeter of the lid. Extra tip: don't let this happen to you right when you're showing skeptical friends how great the Instant Pot is at doing Thanksgiving mashed potatoes.
(Also, why does that little music go at half speed sometimes when putting the lid on or taking it off?)
Maybe you already have but if not could you do a video on how to adjust full size instant pot recipes to work in the mini. I don't know if it is as simple as cutting in half or if other adjustments need to be made. Love your channel!!!
Awesome tips. Thank you 💛
Turning off the sound…. genius! Who woulda thunk!
Double boiler, hot pot, and the shredded chicken tips were my favorites! can't wait to try them!
Great video until you told me to rock my nob backward and forwards etc (8:15) and when my wife asked me what I was doing I told I was relieving the pressure. What actually happened was my laptop and my IP2 ended up in the bin, my wife has left me and I get out of hospital n Friday. Any more tips???
Great useful presentation that will make me an Instant Pot professional (like you 😻). Thanks! 💓 👀 💃 🥘 🎶
what conversion chart do you recommend?
Great video!!! Thank you very much!!!
Here is my tip. Make sure to wash your sealing ring every time to help eliminate smells. Then put the sealing ring in the freezer. The freezer also helps with the smells but also keeps the ring from getting too stretched out. Something to go along with this is keep one ring for savory dishes and one for sweet dishes.
Stop looking at an imaginary audience.
Lisa your so great with explaining! You have such a killer smile!
I'm having a hard time reading the time. I don,t know what is minutes or seconds or hrs. Dumb I know but I don't know whats what.
Even farm fresh eggs peel no problem. Thank for the tips. I didn’t know about turning the sound off.
You don't need ultrafiltered milk to make yogurt in the instant pot. I've used regular milk and powdered milk and have had no problem. I use a Bulgarian started and my yogurt is thick and creamy
I guess sound off is my favorite but I did learn about it before watching your wonderful video. My one dog was really bothered by the beeping sounds. Wherever he was in the house he walked to the door giving me an odd look and was hesitant to come back inside. I had to get rid of an electric kitchen timer for the same reason.
I liked a dough rising tip in yoghurt setting.
Excellent user presentation, It's clear, easy to understand & apply. All you need to know.
I have been using sauté to heat up the pot as I figured it might make it faster, but never thought of using hot liquids!
Didn’t realize there were varying temperatures of sauté
Great to know you can use a hand blender to shred meats quickly!
Thanks, great video! Only comment I have is I am not sure why you switch back and forth (quite frequently) from frontal view to side view. I think it’s very odd when it’s a side shot of you speaking that you weren’t looking or talking to your audience. I figure it must be that you have two cameras running at the same time and you’re trying to make it more “artsy” by using shots from both.
I found it too distracting that it would switch every few seconds and you would be talking to us one moment, then the next you were talking to “others”! 😬
The silicone lid isn't sold on Amazon with sealing ring even though Homeway Essentials website says they are.
T
Website is ad laden, no thanks
I love the double boiler tip
Loved learning I can adjust sauté mode to a lower setting!
Don’t use hot tap water for cooking. Hot tap water contains much more contaminants than cold tap water. Now, most of the time it won’t lead to a serious issue. However, in houses with older plumbing, you can pick up lead in hot water.
Just don’t do it. Use the microwave to warm cold tap water.
Really great tips, thanks
I am so excited your channel popped up on my “recommendations “ channels. I just bought a Instant Pot Duo-Nova. Which was a recommended product by WW – Wellness Wins ( Weight Watcher). I follow prepwhisper on her YouTube & she is meal prepping using a Instant Pot. Your video is a great tutorial for beginners Thank you & a new follower subscriber. All tips appreciated ❤️😊
Learned some new things. Thank you. And learned some things not to do, that were said to do on other sites!!
Great tips! My favorite was the bread dough proofing tip 🙂
Double boiler thing is good to know, actually all of it as I haven’t used it that much.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tips, the production, camera shots with details, your smooth and clear presentation and the safety issues. Very helpful!! Great smile, great video!
This is the BEST info video I have ever watched.
Thankyou
Great video.
Prefer no music so I can hear you better .
Omg lol. She was an inch from saying beat your chicken.
I was so surprised with number 22… Super ! Thank you !!!
Just got an Instant Pot for Christmas. I learned almost every tip from this video. There are very little instructions on how to use the thing.
my fave tip would be how to get the lid on quicker by matching the back end of lid to the cutout on the pot. I can never get the lid on the first time by trying to match the lock and unlock symbol in the front of my Ultra 60.
I like the tip for shredding chicken. Thank you.
I would NEVER release the valve with my hand!!! 😲 i use tongs or wooden spoon
I learned! I learned!!!!!! Creme brulet? (sp). cheese cake Oh NO don't tell me things like that. You are a great teacher
I am total newbie to the instapot and I learned so much
