I'm 52 and I started carnivore on June 1st 2022. I'm down 97 lb of today. I've dropped 3 pants sizes, but my new pants are baggy. This is my new life style. 2 weeks ago I had a Dr appointment and my blood work numbers was store that absolutely great. I have a homestead channel that I just started sharing my weight lost journey, and it has my Dr visit and what the Dr had said. Love following you guys. Stay strong and God Bless.

Awesome job! Thanks for sharing your journey. I know you mentioned electrolytes and that's a beautiful water bottle. I drink Dr. Berg's Electrolyte Powder, Raspberry & Lemon flavor. For me it tastes good. I personally mix it with a shot of Santa Cruz organic pure lemon juice and some ice. Its keto and doesn't have maltodextrin or Sucralose which I stay away from. Thanks again for all you're doing! Keep at it!

Glad you (Andy) shared the non-scale victory of acknowledging a habitual behavior that you are no longer inclined towards. Thatโ€™s something to be very proud of. If I may weigh in, I think the Friday check-ins are a good idea to continue with even if you havenโ€™t any tangible progress. You can speak to how you are feeling mentally, physically and even emotionally as I think eating a more animal based diet can have positive impacts in all of those areas. Continued wellness and success on your journey. ๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿ’ช

I just found your channel today. I started a keto diet on May 8th along with intermittent fasting. I am now leaning toward a carnivore diet. I was fasting 18 hours a day, but now I am going with about a 14-hour fast having a couple of meals a day. I am five ft. seven in. My waist. Was 36 in. but now is 30 in. I weighed 180 lbs. now am swinging around 134 lbs. to 140 lbs. kind of up and down. I have been putting in more walking and doing a mountain climbing machine workout for a half hour or so a day. ether one or the other or some days skipping the exercise if I am tired. I am adjusting my fat intake to have more energy because I realized I was tired, and without energy, because I was not eating enough fat. I am still adjusting that. I listen to my body and usually eat more fat to adjust. I still eat avocadoes, olive oil, olives, onions, garlic, mushrooms, some green leafy pinches of raw leaves here and there, and herbs for flavor and to feed gut flora. I have a garden and want to eat what I can of it. All of my potatoes are going to family and friends, I dare not eat them, but still love growing them. I am glad I found you because we started this in really close timing to each other. I will keep in touch, thank you both!

Iโ€™d like to mention about the water: it is not necessary to drink so much water, itโ€™s very difficult for our kidneys to deal with so much filtering. when you eat enough fat for your body composition your body needs less water. When eating carbohydrates you need 4 (four) times the amount of water, that why. Laszlo Borosz talks a lot how damaging it is for us so much water, mainly the Deterium in the water. Mary Ruddick mentioned that the tribes that she visited donโ€™t drink much water because they are heavy on eating meat and animal fat. Drink if youโ€™re thirsty not that you have to have an amount per day. The urine should be always slightly coloured.

I absolutely love the idea of a monthly or every two week success story platform here on your channel. For those of us that have been here for a while and for those that are new and just cruising through and looking for motivation and inspirationโ€ฆ I know seeing others success stories through progression or start to finish can be so beneficial. it is super exciting to see the success of others and to be able to continue to support them on their journey as well. So I love the idea I am all in!!

Very encouraging you two! Love your follow ups. Itโ€™s hard to change that muscle in our brains! I started the first of June and in six weeks was able to stop injections of Trulicity for Type 2 diabetes. Have lost 20 lbs and riding a indoor cycle for 30 minutes a day. At 78 I am feeling fantastic with 30 lbs to go. We can all do with encouragement from each other.

Wow~ over 2 lbs a week is beyond what most of us manage, so yay you on that 9 lbs Andy, dang! You too Hope, that's just awesome=) ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‰
I think I might actually be under-eating, which I didn't even realize was a "thing" until recently. It's been over a year for me, & still only down a few measly pounds, so it's frustrating. Maybe OMAD is not my thing, but I'm not hungry more than that- hard to eat if not hungry-errgghh.
My husband however, has lost 60 lbs in the same amount of time, so that makes me happiest of all. His health has been my priority, & he is no longer pre-diabetic, off of almost all heart & BP meds, plus so many more benefits! 34 yrs in the military really instilled tons of discipline, yet he also had a super high-stress position for much of that time (USCG/Search & Rescue), so his cortisol level was not his friend. Plus, we were trying to eat "healthy" for so long, whole grain, tons of fruit & veg, etc~ wrong kind of healthy, as we now realize.
Anyhow, Danny's story might be of encouragement, so I'll talk to him & see if he's open to it. He's a very private person, but this whole carnivore/low carb venture is something he shares now w/anyone who will listen, as he's also quite compassionate w/fellow humans.
Again, super thrilled for you guys- on all fronts. So great that the channel is gaining traction, seriously~ how exciting! Couldn't happen to better folk~ y'all are a joy to follow =) Sam in AZ
