I have the same double oven picked out for our house which has yet to be started, and I have the KitchenAid microwave/convection oven in our current little kitchenette & it has been a workhorse. We don't always use milk or Buttermilk. We like to use water and it still tastes good. Our recipe is cornmeal mix, 1 egg, and water. Short and simple.

You can put butter milk in your ice cube trays and freeze it. Then you can have it on hand for your corn bread, when ever you want it. π₯°
