I rarely shop for food at Walmart….I don't know why???

Even though it's closer etc. I just prefer superstore or I thinks it's called Presidents Choice or NoFrills in Ontario. But my fav place is FarmersBoy I think it's called…. Especially the one at HarborFront in Toronto my go to location wherever I'm in Toronto between planes or starting roadtrips. The ready made meals the deli, THE CHEESE section for someone passing through for a couple days can't be beat. Always keep my eyes open for them on the roadtrips. The choices at Walmart are just not all that great… Here in Calgary anyway. I've been to Walmart's in Huntsville and Barrie… Mehhhhh. There's just better places to shop for food selection.

But have you tried the ginger snaps from IKEA???? Addictive
    As well the oatmeal crisps!!!
We can't seem to keep them very long…I always have to get 2 boxes of each every month.

would love to see an Aldi shop comparison and some of the size differences! I feel like everything in the UK is getting smaller and is costing more. Also a comparison on like car maintenance/fuel would be helpful as well!

Love the videos as always Louise! Hope you and Jake are well xxx

I've always found grocery shopping in the UK to be more expensive than Canada, and a lot of the package sizes in the UK are smaller than here, too. But as always, some things are more expensive and some are cheaper. Bell peppers at Tesco are cheaper; £1.49, which works out to $2.30 Cdn. Local Ontario bell peppers should be out by now so keep an eye out for farmer's markets; they are better and fresher than imported ones. Lots of local corn out now, and still local asparagus, too. Keep an eye out because soon Ontario field tomatoes will be in the store. They taste WAAAAY better than the imported ones. There has been lots of sunshine this year, so they will be red and juicy! Also Ontario peaches, cherries and watermelons will be out soon. You probably get a good selection of Niagara fruits where you live.

I love your vids Louise but I think you confused yourself at the end there with the pricing comparison! However you cost this out, England was far cheaper. Some of the Canadian prices were eye watering, 2 dollars for a lettuce, I got one a huge iceberg lettuce in Asda 2 hours ago for 47p! Peppers also, a pack of 3 for 99p, the list goes on! Good vid but Canada is crazy expensive

Just a little tip to save a few bucks. Keep the squeeze bottle of mayo buy the big I think it's 1.5 L bottle for like 7$ and you can just refill the squeeze bottle you have and save a few bucks. I know what you mean about wasting onions but one thing you might want to look at is the bags of Frozen onions already diced at Walmart.
