    You must watch too much uneducated food network home cooks who think they are "chefs" doing stupid things with food. Stop with the snapping and wasting half your asparagus. It's stupid bullshit. Cut the ends with a knife. Learn how to pick the best asparagus for what's on your menu and don't buy older, woody asparagus unless you are boiling or processing it into cream soups, etc.
